The Broke Legacy: Gen 3 Spares (Part 1)

So here it is, the story of the Gen 3 spares: Andrew, Tamara and Natalia. It's another GIGA update, because for some reason I ended taking a zillion pictures of them and developing a little bit more complex story for them.
I don't usually pimp my Spare's updates but in this case, if you are currently reading the Broke Legacy, I strongly recommend you to at least read Andrew's story (the last one), otherwise the next update of Generation 4 might be a bit confusing.


Part 1: The College Years




Tamara always felt like the odd one in her family. She wasn't as beautiful as Wanda or as smart as Natalia.
Nor did she have the strange charm of his usually grouchy brother Andrew.
Compared to her siblings, she often though she didn't have anything that'd make her stand out.




Despite being a sweet and very outgoing young lady, Tamara had serious self-esteem issues.
Therefore, it was hard for her to get close to her classmates and roomies.
She felt like she had nothing in common with them.




It was normal to find her all alone, eating breakfast by herself.
Tamara wasn't happy, of course. She often dreamed of a huge family and a lovable husband.
But none of the guys at La Fiesta Tech paid a second glance at her.
Was she destined to a life of solitude?




Tamara was extremely glad when Natalia joined her at the Broke Dorm a couple of years later.




They were always very close as girls, and now wasn't the exception.




Tamara wanted to spend as much time as possible with Natalia, but of course, that wasn't possible.
Her younger sister was busy doing tons of assignments for her physics major.
She wanted to follow her father's steps and become a scientist.




Well... Natalia also had another trouble to take care of.




Like telling that annoying Demetrius Summerdream to leave her alone! Man!
He had a crush on Natalia ever since he met her at Puck's wedding.
For him, Natalia was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.
Natalia, of course, didn't share his point of view.
He liked Puck, of course, but she always found his weird old-fashioned habits annoying!
Well, at least Wanda was happy with him.




For Demetrius, Natalia's rejection was a huge disappointment.
He had worked so hard to be able to study at LFT as an exchange student.
Did he do all of this for nothing?




Tamara couldn't understand Natalia's attitude.
Here he was, a handsome and romantic young man, offering his heart to her.
It was Tamara's dream! Why couldn't she get that kind of attention?




Natalia had other kind of dreams.
She was currently working on a very secret project.
Ever since she was a little girl, she had always felt like her actions and those of all the people around them weren't done by free will. She often felt like if someone was observing her, controlling every single aspect of her life.
Of course, her father always thought she was imagining things.
"The only ones who are observing us might be the Graslaxians, Sweetie. But I don't think they can control your life as you say"

Natalia was sure of her theory, though. And spent most of her teen years, and her first two years at College researching. And that's how she met him. A man who had mysteriously lost everything one day and appeared in Strangetown almost without memories.

Natalia and her new friend chatted for months, and soon they became very close.




Meanwhile, Tamara and Demetrius had become closer.
She had felt so bad for him, that she spent a long time trying to cheer him up.
Soon they became the best of friends.




And one day, Demetrius confessed that he had fallen in love with her.




Tamara was confused. How could he choose her over Natalia? Why if he wasn't just acting as some form of revenge on Natalia? What if the only reason he liked her was her family connection to Natalia?




"Geez, Tamara! Have a little more faith in yourself. I like you just the way you are! Here, let me show you..."




And that's when Tamara fell in love with him.




And since that moment, they were never apart.










Tamara had never felt happier.




Unlike her sister, Tamara enjoyed Demetrius' odd Veronaville-esque behavior.




He often wrote short poems for her. He composed songs in her honor.




And as a Literature major, that was a huge turn on for Tamara.




She seriously feared the moment Demetrius would have to return to Academie Le Tour.
What if he forgot about her? She wouldn't stand that!




But Demetrius was far from forgetting about her, and so in his very last night as an exchange student, he asked Tamara to marry him.
"Of course, I'm the one in charge of continuing the Summerdream legacy back in Veronaville, so you'd have to move away from Strangetown. I'll understand if you don't want to do that... my brother often tells me in his letters how much he misses our city and..."




Tamara didn't even let him finish.




Tamara couldn't wait for the moment in which she'd start a new life with the love of her life.




Meanwhile, Natalia had high hopes that this would be a night as romantic as it was being for Tamara.
After months and months of friendship and research, Natalia would finally meet him that night!




And as soon as she saw him, she was sure he was the man she had been waiting for.




His name was Camden Amore (at least, that's what he remembered) and had been wandering around Strangetown for that last five years. The last thing he remembered is that he had married his college girlfriend and then... he had woken up all alone in the middle of Strangetown's main street.
"It was as if someone had removed me from my world, like a pawn in a chessboard, and placed me in this new town to play. And I'm not the only one! Someone is controlling us! But I won't let them do that to me anymore!"




Camden's strong words (and the fact that he was also very hot) were enough to make Natalia's usually cold heart melt.
She couldn't help herself!
She just... had to kiss him!




But Camden, rejected her advances.




"I'm sorry, Natalia..."




Natalia was embarrassed. Perhaps she had moved too fast?
But somehow this was something she wanted to do!




So she tried one more time, only to be rejected yet again.




"See? You are already being controlled by them! That's what happened when I was in College! I just couldn't help it! But I won't let them control me anymore! You hear me! I'm done!"




Camden's words broke Natalia's heart.




Camden noticed that.
"I'm sorry, Natalia. It's nothing personal and you should know it pretty well. You are being manipulated! They think they can control us... that they can manipulate our minds and feelings and force us to mate with the ones they choose for us."




"We can work together Natalia. We can show them that we aren't just a bunch of lifeless dolls! We are going to prove that a higher force is controlling our lives and the triumph will be ours! We will be free!"




"So, are you with me on this or not?"




For the following months, Natalia and Camden worked together. Perhaps he wasn't as smart as her, but Camden was a very charismatic young man, and that let him get in contact with those who, like himself, had woken up in the middle of the streets with no other memory except for their names. He met someone named Zachary Venturi and a couple weeks later, he met an odd man named Giraffe.




The more clues they found, the more confident their theory became (at least in their eyes).




But Natalia wasn't as "strong" as Camden, so she couldn't control herself at times.
When she felt that strong urge to kiss him, there was nothing that could stop her...




So, she faced Camden's rejection over...




... and over...




and over again.




"You are disappointing me, Natalia! You must fight against the system! You must not let them manipulate your actions and feelings and..."




But Camden couldn't finish his sentence, for in that moment he felt something very odd.
It was as if his feelings for Natalia had suddenly awakened without reason.
In that instant, he felt as if his life depended on kissing the woman he had in front of her.
Otherwise he'd go crazy!




And so he did...




Camden's battle against his "puppeteer" was lost that day.
The same force that had pushed him during his college days in his original world was finally let free.












And well... you can imagine what happened then.




"I can't believe I lost against the system. But Natalia is just so... perfect! But NO! This is just manipulation and..."




"Man! That cook is hot! And somehow she looks familiar..."




"Errrr... Focus Amore! Focus! If the system is going to control your hormones, at least try to release them on Natalia."

Deep inside, Camden knew that sooner or later he'd lose the battle against the "system" and his own hormonal instincts. But the system would go down with him! He was sure of that!




The years went by, and soon it was time for the girl's graduation.




Tamara graduated with honors, and as soon as she got her diploma she packed all her things and left Strangetown forever.




A new life in Veronaville was waiting for her.




Natalia graduated also with honors, but unlike Tamara, she had no idea what to do with her life.




Camden wasn't sure what to do with his life either.




It was then that Natalia and Camden agreed to continue with their research together.
They'd prove their theory to the world sooner or later.
"What if he live together, Camden? We wouldn't get married or anything like that, because that's what the system would like. Just... be together. You know..."




Camden loved that idea.




And soon they were celebrating their plans in their own way.
To hell with the system! If they were together, it'd be because they chose to do so!




And so Natalia returned to Strangetown...

Part 2: Tamara's Story




Tamara and Demetrius got married in Veronaville six months later.




They were deeply in love.
The whole year they spent apart didn't affect them in any way.




Titania and Oberon, Demetrius' parents, were thrilled with this marriage and soon considered Tamara as a daughter.
Perhaps they had "lost" Puck to the Brokes, but in exchange they won Tamara.
Titania loved her daughter-in-law so much that she even let her use her tiara for the wedding.




Tamara and Demetrius have been together for almost 12 years.




Tamara writes children books at home.
She also got used to the Veronaville's habits and traditions pretty soon.
Nowadays, no one could imagine she was born far away from Veronaville.




Tamara and Demetrius work hard to keep the Summerdream legacy strong.
They defend the family's most important value: Unconditional love.




And let me tell you, there's plenty of love in that house!




Which only got stronger as soon as Tamara got pregnant.




Tamara thought that this was just the beginning of many pregnancies in her life.
But in reality, she only was pregnant once, because when she finally went into labor...




She gave birth to not one...




nor two...




but three healthy babies!

Josephine




And Elizabeth.




One might think that after taking care of three toddlers, the Summerdreams wouldn't want more kids in their house.
Well, the opposite happened...
They were the Summerdreams, and because of that, they had to follow their most important tradition.




And so, a couple months after the triplets' first birthday, Tamara and Demetrius adopted a little boy.




A sweet orphan from Pleasantville, whose name is Alvin.




And since the very first moment, the Summerdreams considered him a son.
Because that's what he was, no matter the lack of biological links.




And with Alvin's arrival, the Summerdream family was finally complete.




So, where are the Summerdreams now?
They are still living in Veronaville, of course.
Demetrius works as a literature teacher while Tamara promotes her fathers' memories around the town.










Charles, Josephine and Elizabeth are still in Elementary school.




And Alvin has just started High School.

So in the end, Tamara's dreams came true.
She never expected she'd live far away from Strangetown.
Sometimes, she missed her home town.
But she wouldn't exchange her family for anything.

Camden and Natalia's story absolutely cracked me up. Poor Camden, losing his fight against the system- but hey, at least he got woohoo out of it! And Demetrius and Tamara are so cute, and their kids are as well. I can't wait for part 2 to be posted!
