Hey Grandpa!

Nice to see you are still brave enough to use the Internet! Most folks your age are terrified to touch a computer these days.
I'm doing great! College is as awesome as you said!
I've finally decided my major!
I'm following the Art Major, because I figured that could help me when I finally become a great videogame designer.
You know, those silly, multi-zippered RPG outfits won't get designed by themselves!




Saturn is fine. Don't worry; I'm making sure he doesn't get in trouble.
He's also following the Art Major, so I'll keep a good eye on him.
He still wants to follow Uncle Andromeda's steps and be the Restaurant's manager.
Oh, and he's still dumb enough to play catch with...




... Andrew, of course.
Remember that time when he almost broke my nose when we were little.
Well, he hasn't learned yet.
Andrew is following the Math Major, for some unknown reason.
He has no idea what to do with his life yet.
Yeah, he's a junior!




We have three other roommates in the dorm.
There's Arcadia Pai.
She's pretty, but also a bit strange.




She also has this huge crush on Andrew.
But he's not interested.




There's also Kevin... uh... I don't remember his last name.
He's a lonely guy, who always leave the dorm at night and doesn't return until the next morning.
Figures what he does...
I tried to give him a make-over, but he refused.
He said "he wasn't interested in me".
Whatever!




And you won't believe who's our last roommate!
You remember Puck Summerdream, right?
The kid from Veronaville who spent Christmas with us a few years ago?
He's here!




Yeah, yeah Grandpa, I remember what you said back when he left.
I'm not going to push anything on him.
But that doesn't mean we can't be as good friends as ever, right?

When I asked him why he was studying at La Fiesta Tech, he told me this weird story:
To be honest, I thought that visit to Strangetown would be the very last time I'd be there.
Sure, my research had failed badly, but I didn't mind anymore.
Once I returned to my family, it didn't matter if we were blood-related or not.
The Summerdreams were MY family, end of story.




I was so glad to see Demetrius too!
In just two weeks he had become so big!




And of course, Hermia gave a very warm welcome.




The memories of my adventures at Strangetown were soon replaced with several plans for my future.
I was almost 18, so it was time to think about what I'd like to study and where I'd like to go for College.
The long, long process began.




A couple of years went by.
Bottom turned 13 and started going to Junior High.
And Demetrius was an hyper little boy who was ready for pre-school.




And then, one day, I got a strange letter from Strangetown.
From La Fiesta Tech, to be exact.




Dear Mr. Summerdream,

We in La Fiesta Tech are interested in the variety of ideas that people from other cultures and town can provide to our students.
Therefore, we are always looking for potentially good students to enrich our experiences. We contacted your local High School and learned about your excellent grades and inquisitive mind.
We are interested in having you as our student, so we invite you to enroll our INTERCULTURAL ASTRONOMIC SCHOLARSHIP. We offer you full tuition and living expenses in exchange of your attendance to a couple of extra-curricular classes in which you could provide us with your experiences at Veronaville.

La Fiesta Tech Scholarship Department.

I was in shock: I hadn't even thought about La Fiesta Tech as a College option (I wanted to go to Academie Le Tour with Hermia), and here was an excellent offer from that school!




Mom and Dad listened to my story that night.
- "I know that Academie Le Tour has an excellent Law Program, but I've also read good things about La Fiesta Tech. Besides, they are offering a scholarship and extra-curricular classes that could enrich your experience there, Puck."




- "But but... La Fiesta Tech is at Strangetown... and that's so far away from Veronaville. I wouldn't be able to visit you no more than twice a year and..."




- "Of course we'll miss you, brother. But on the other hand, you wouldn't be alone at Strangetown, right? You made some friends over there. And I know that, despite what you say, you'd like to finish that research. I'd love you to go to Academie Le Tour, we'd see you frequently that way but... I guess that's a decision only you can make..."




And I spent the next six months thinking about my choices. I was already accepted at Académie Le Tour. Hermia would be there, we would even live in the same dorm. We'd study Law and then we'd get married. Things would be exactly as I had imagined them since I was a little boy, if I followed that road.

But on the other hand, there was the option to start a new life at La Fiesta Tech. It'd be an adventure and I'd meet new friends. Who knew what would happen in those four years? Life would be unpredictable that way. And I was sure Hermia would wait for me, no matter where I went. We'd be together in the end...




So, in the end, I made my decision...








- "Mom? Dad?"
- "So you are going to Strangetown, I see..."- said Dad with a casual smile.
- "We knew you'd take that choice. You are a Summerdream, after all. We dislike conventional decisions."




I was so glad to hear those words.
My family would always support me, no matter what I did.
But I'd sure miss them...




- "I'm gonna miss you, Big Bro. Don't forget to use sunlotion! I've read that the heat over there is insane!"




- "Take good care of Bottom, Demetrius. And if somehow she gets a boyfriend, please write to me so I can come back quickly and kill him!"
- "Don't listen to that non-sense, little brother!"




The hardest part of leaving Veronaville, was saying good-bye to Hermia.
- "I'll write to you every day, and I'll come and visit you on every break. It won't take too long, I promise..."




- "I'll be waiting for you, Puck..."




The following morning, I took the bus to Strangetown and here I am.
I'm still getting used to life away from home but... I'm so glad to see you, Wanda.
I don't feel so alone anymore...

You may ask what I've been doing this semester, right Grandpa?
Of course I'm studying! I'm gonna make you proud!




But this is a life-time experience, so I'm making the most of it.
You only get to live once, and it's important to enjoy as much as you can.
So I'm having a lot of fun here at La Fiesta Tech!




Unlike Andrew... who's as boring as Dad sometimes.
He's always studying in his room, working out or writing those nasty papers for extra credit.
How is he gonna get a girl if he's always acting like that?




Good thing Saturn and I are here, though.
It's only with us when he can relax for once and have a little fun.




Oh, and let's not forget his true love, the Karaoke Machine.
He said he wasn't interested in music anymore, but I know he's lying.
He's completely in love with that machine!




He's almost as bad as the Japanese exchange students.
We don't even know their names, but they always stop by to use our machine.
The nerve of some people!




Saturn is a bit like me.
He says he's here at La Fiesta Tech to have lots of fun!
But for him, the best way to have fun is by wooing as many women as possible.




And let me tell you, Grandpa, Saturn is a ladies’ man!
I wish he could lend a bit of that charm to Andrew!




Oh yeah, Saturn is also worried about his grades too!
Yep, he often asks his teachers for extra-curricular tutoring.




Puck spends the whole morning locked in his room, writing sappy e-mails to his girlfriend, Hermia.




He's a bit like Andrew, he's also a bit obsessed about his grades and you can often find him writing essays for extra credit.
But I guess that's understandable, because he takes more classes than us.
This semester, he was asked to take Home Economy 101: Educating Demon Spawn and Astronomy 101: Otherworldly spies as a requirement for his scholarship.




Puck's a very friendly guy. He's been here just a couple of months and is already friends with at least half of his Drama Major classmates.
He also has a close relationship with his teachers.
So, he spends hours and hours on the phone.




He's still as carefree as I remember. I have a lot of fun with him.




Andrew needed a girlfriend... fast!
So, I gave Arcadia a make-over. I know Andrew likes blonde girls, so I tried to help Arcadia's chances with him.
But yeah, that didn't work.




The four of us (Saturn, Andrew, Puck and I) have become a close group of friends.
We often go out together.




I proposed a visit to LFT Student Union, hoping Andrew would find a girlfriend there.




"I saw him talking with a Japanese exchange students! I'm sure they'll get along pretty well!"




But I was wrong, because the only way they were able to communicate was through a chess game.
Darn language barriers!




Oh well, at least the trip wasn't a total waste. I got a new videogame!




Arcadia got tired from Andrew's rejections.
And so one day, I found them arguing.




And you know Andrew is not a sweet guy. Nope, he immediatelly told her to back off and to leave him alone.
And that he was sick of her constant stalking
In a more... colorful language, of course.




Yeah, the situation was quite tense, so I asked Puck to go to the new bowling alley instead.




We had a lot of fun that day!




Despite Puck's inability to bowl.
Man! He's so bad at sports!
You should see him skate!




"Ouch! That's gotta hurt!"




I met someone at the bowling alley, though.




His name is Sterling Bruening, and we got along pretty well!




The day would have been perfect... if not for the scene Puck and I found when we returned to the dorm.
Andrew and Arcadia were fighting!




And the worst part was that Arcadia really kicked his ass!




Andrew has been quite bitter since that incident.
He's always growling and sulking around the dorm.




Of course, I wouldn't let that bitch get away with that so, when she asked me to take away the blonde dye...
I did exactly what she said... along with her hair.




I know, I know, Grandpa.
That wasn't very nice, but she deserved it!

Hope things are going well at your dorm.
I'm so proud of you. Your father just showed me your grades from your first year and they are splendid!




I... I'm feeling better now, darling.
I was so happy to see you, despite the sadness of that situation.
Loosing Lucy that way... was devastating.




I miss her so much. Just as I miss your Grandmother.
It's hard to be all alone again... but at least I'm glad we were able to be together during her last years.




Well... I'm not exaclty alone, I know.
I have your parents and your sisters too.




Tamara inherited your father's studying habits.
Unlike Andrew, she always do her homework on time.




Therefore, she always brings great grades back home.


Although I'm a bit worried about her.
Just the other day, I observed her as she played with her toys
There's a lot of anger hidden inside that girl.




Good thing your father spends some time playing chess with her.
But I'm afraid that's not enough... and your father also had a lot of troubles these last few months...




Natalia is as sweet as always.

She's always calm and smiley.
I've never seen a toddler as easygoing as her.
Sometimes, I wish your father had been like her when he was little. Things would had been easier back then.
Natalia hasn't been affected by your mother's long absences.
I guess her fame as the mysterious Bella Goth finally reached the wealthiest families at Strangetown, who always invite her to their parties and balls.
I often joked with your father that people should just hire her as a Professional Party Guest. She'd earn good money that way.




But back to your father well... he's doing fine.
He gave us a good scare the other day, though.
It all started when he started getting strange phone calls in the middle of the night.
Most of these calls were harassing him, but he wouldn't tell us why.




I asked him to report those calls to the police, but he didn't listen to me.
"Don't worry, Dad. I'm gonna make sure my family is safe!"




A few days later, the phone calls stopped, but your father started acting even weirder.
And he often left the house in the middle of the night. He was gone for several hours, often returning just as Tamara was leaving for school.




During the day, he was tired and bitter.




And then, he built a small room in the backyard.
He said it was a laboratory, and he forbid us to enter there.




We had no idea what he did inside that room.
But he spent most afternoons there.
I was almost sick from worrying.
He was even worse than those days when he was trying to resurrect your mother.




Just a few days ago, the police arrived to our house.




They broke into the "laboratory" and confiscated what your father was hiding inside.




It was a Counterfeiting Machine!
For some reason, your father was deep inside Strangetown's criminal branch!
He had even become their leader!




Despite spending a few days at jail (he got out after paying a HUGE amount of money), he still works as a criminal.
I know it's wrong, Wanda, but I can't judge him




"I was forced to become a criminal, Dad. Because I left the Paranormal group, I started getting harsh phone calls saying that I had betrayed them and that I would pay for that. That they wouldn't let me get away with the knowledge they had taught me, and would kill the only witness of their work: My wife.
I... tried contacting the police, but they didn't believe my story. So... I went to the other side.
I exchange for thier protection, I was asked to work as a counterfeiter, and that's why I built the "laboratory". I didn't want any of you involved in that.
Something odd happened, Dad. When they learned I was a Broke, they started treating me with respect and soon I became the leader."




- "I don't want to harm anyone in Strangetown, Dad, but if I need to work as a criminal to protect you, then I will do everything they ask me to..."




-"You share the same last name as the greatest criminal master mind in the history of Pleasantview: My brother, Dustin. They must have found out you are his nephew and that's why they elected you as their leader. I... I can't judge you, Cosmo, because as wrong as this is, I would have starved as a child if it weren't for Dustin's criminal actions."




Your father still works as a criminal at night. But now that we know about his secret, he's a bit happier.
He once again spends time with Tamara and Natalia.
I just hope he eventually finds a way to get out of that "job".

Awesome! An update. :D

I think I married that girl in the pink corset into a legacy of mine. They both had the same tops and bushy eyebrows. And it turned out she was a romance sim, my least favorite aspiration. :x

I am highly amused that Cosmo's a criminal now. Especially since he's got the evil laugh to go with it. Moving onto part two now!

Yeah, I'm sure that's the same Sim, she's also a romance sim. I also don't like romance sims either, they are a bit hard to handle to me. But Pleasure are even worse. Wanda's asp score is always low because none of her freaking wants have enough points to raise her meter! (and they are dumb and require me to load communit lots all the time :().

He he... don't forget he's also got the evil eyebrows too! :D

That's the same problem I have with Pleasure. For me, my Pleasure sims are never in the gold or in the platinum aspiration score. And their LTWs are scary. (50 dream dates, for one)

Yes! The eyebrows! If it weren't for the nice points, it would all make sense.

I was upset that Puck is still attatched to Hermia, I really wanted him and Wanda together!

I love how take the silly things sims do, and write it off as something that really goes with the storyline. :)

I absolutely adore this legacy. I love the storyline and format of it and how I really get a sense of a family with personality as opposed to a bunch of babymaking machines! Just dropping by to declare that and to ask if you mind that I'm adding you?

Wanda is absolutely fabulous! Puck and Wanda better end up together. Sterling makes gorgeous kids, but Puck and Wanda make a great story!
