I'm having a bit of trouble with the Broke Legacy at the moment: For some reason, the lot is crashing as soon as I enter it. Therefore, I've been unable to access it in the last few days, which is a pity because I'm currently on my vacation week. Well, I'm pretty sure I'll figure out what's wrong with it sooner or later.
After my failed attemptat re-creating the Digidestined (or Chosen Children) as young adults, I decided to try something simpler: Recreate them as kids, just as they appear on the original TV series. I think this second try went better than the last one, so I got a bit crazy and took many pictures of them. I think I'll keep the Digidestined as an alternate story to play besides the Brokes.
These entries won't follow a plot; they'll consist mostly on me making fun of the many clichés pf one of my favorite TV shows ever.

OK, for starters, these are the original Digidestined.
Yup, it's an official picture, so you'll be able to easily judge how much I failed at re-creating them.
Aren't you lucky? ^___^
Anyway, the plot goes like this: Once upon a time there were seven kids who lived in Odaiba, which is part of Tokio.
One day, these kids went to summer camp and destiny put them together in the same cabin.
I think the camp managers made sure to include each one of the most popular anime character stereotypes in every cabin, you'll soon see why.
Suddenly, after a huge snow storm (in the middle of the summer, August 1st), these kids were sucked by a weird portal and somehow they ended in a strange world inhabited by weird creatures named the Digimon.
Yup, the same creatures many Digimon fanfic writers ignore all the time in favor of sappy romance stories.
And which I'll also ignore... but because I have no idea how to include them in The Sims 2 :(.
Bla, bla, bla... these kids were called by some kind of force because they are destined (hence the pun "Digi-Destined" LOL) to save the world from the forces of DAAAAAARKESS.
And so their adventures began.

Here's anime stereotype number one. He’s also known as Taichi Yagami (Tai Kamiya, according to the dub. Why the last name change? Well, spell Yagami backwards and you'll get your answer).
Now, as you'll sure notice comparing these two pictures, my re-creation of Tai fails big time because he's lacking his most important clothing item.
Guess which one?
Yup, most Digimon lead characters wear goggles. I don't know why they wear them, but it's common knowledge that the leaders lack of sense is due to a lack of blood flowing in ther brains because of the goggles. True fact.
The goggles were a tradition in this tv series... until the last season, which I haven't seen.

Anyway, believe me; I tried to have Taichi wear goggles. But for some reason, the goggles that were included with Nightlife can only be worn by adults. Not teens nor children. Like adults were most likely to wear such an accesory than the young ones. Pssh...

I looked everywhere for conversions for teens or kids. Not a single one. Not even sunglasses on the head or anything remotely close. I even tried to learn to convert them myself, but got scared by the tutorials at MTS2. Therefore, Taichi lacked goggles.

There was only one solution to this dilemma...

My gogglez r pasteded on yay!
Yup, thank Photoshop and my basic usage of it. Sure, it looks tacky, but it'll work for now.

Back to Taichi: He's an outgoing, hyper eleven year old. He loves to play soccer. And he's the leader of this group.
Therefore, he's also stubborn, hot-headed, impulsive and generally lacks many brain cells.

"Check out my fighting skills! Not even Yamato can beat me now!"

Only Taichi can dance the moves from Thriller without fear of looking like a moron.
Therefore, it's quiet obvious that his trademark trait is courage.

Now it's time for the intelligence test. Sure, perhaps I was able to re-create their looks and personalities but... do these sims have the intelligence needed to act like their original selves?
Everybody knows that the best way to test a Sim!kid's intelligence is making it blow bubbles.
Surprisingly enough, Taichi didn’t drink the bubbles. Good boy!

And here's the obligatory pretty picture that it's required in any decent photo shoot.
Yup, check out my neat "Digiworld" :P.

You may ask if this Sim!Tai acts in character or not.
Here's Taichi acting on free will:
"Hey Matt! A Tyranomon is gonna eat TK!"
"Huh? WHAT?!"

Let's move along to anime stereotype number 2: The lone wolf.
And in the case of Yamato (Matt) Ishida, it applies perfectly. Yup, his Digimon is a wolf too. LOL.
Yamato is an eleven year old kid with family issues.
His parents are divorced, and for some reason, they decided to separate him from his brother, Takeru.

Don't let this picture fool you: Matt is actually a very lonely guy, not very friendly.
This is ironic, because his trademark trait is “Friendship”.

Yeah, he's too cool for you.

Here's Matt doing what he does best in Digimon Adventure.
*Emo*

*Still Emo*

Yup, another pretty shot.

Now, for the intelligence test: Here's Matt doing a great job with his bubbles...

Until he drinks them... FAIL.

Sim!Matt acts in character: There he is hugging his little brother.
He also became Taichi's BFF by free will.

Here's the third anime stereotype: The Tomboy Girl.
Also known as Sora Takenouchi, an eleven year old girl who's also a soccer player, despite that activity not being girly enough for her mother.
Yup. Sora has mommy issues, and therefore doesn't feel loved.
There's that irony again, because she's actually the Love Digidestined.

Sora's sweet and cheerful.
She also has the role of "mother" of the group, especially in her relation with the youngest members.

She's energetic.

Man, just look at her!
I can't believe she's one of the most hated characters in this fandom! :(
Pity...
Although I think it has to do with the fact that she's a bit boring.
Really, I can't think of other things to say about her.

Sora passed the intelligence test with flying colors.

OK, let's move along...

And here's anime stereotype number I-don't-care-at-this-point: The nerd.
Also known as Koushirou Izumi, or Izzy, because I can't spell his name.
Izzy is a quiet guy, introverted and very intelligent.
Therefore, his trait is knowledge.
The irony? Despite knowing a lot of stuff, Izzy doesn't know about his real parents because he's adopted.

Yeah, here's Izzy doing the standard Sims "peace" photo pose because I can't see him doing the "muscle" or "rawk on" ones.

More Izzy...

Oh yeah, because nothing's better than enforcing the stereotypes, here's Izzy with his OTL: His computer.
Izzy/Computer OTP OMG!!!11!one

Now, for the intelligence test... you might think that Izzy would pass it, right?
He's the group's genius after all.
Well...

Umm... let's see... these bubbles have an interesting aroma... let's try tasting them for... science! yeah!

Prodigious! This doesn't taste as I thought... they actually taste like soap!"

*shudder*
It's at this point when one would think: Sure, Izzy made that mistake in the name of science, but he learned, right?

WRONG!
This is what he did as soon as he stopped shuddering...
FAIL!

FAIL!
Oh, Izzy...

Now here's the next stereotype: The girly, sugary-sweet little lady.
This is Mimi Tachikawa, a sheltered 10 year old. She's sweet and nice, but also a bit selfish and stubborn.
Her trait is Purity, something I never understood. Purity? What kind of purity? Does that mean...?
Yeah, let's leave the topic alone.

Yeah, she's sweet and innocent... but let's see how she acted when she first arrived to the Digital World...

*Whine Whine*

*Whiiiiine*

Don't worry, she got better.

As for the intelligence test, she passed it too.
And she's supposed to be one of the slow ones... :D

Now here's another stereotype, but this one's a cutie: The scaredy cat.
Yup, this is Joe Kido. The oldest one of the group. The one responsible for their safety.
And the one who gets scared all the time.
It's not that Joe (or Jou) is a coward, he's just insecure.
Yup, his ironic trait is Faith (in yourself, I think).

Jou is a friendly guy despite his fears and paranoia.

He's the one responsible for catching food for the group.
Yeah, I installed a pond on their lot, and he was the only one who wanted to fish by free will.

"We're gonna DIEEEE!"

Jou's a future doctor, so it's obvious he'd be smart.

And as the last one of this group, here's the final anime stereotype: The ultra-cute, ultra-innocent and ultra-cuddly sweet little kid.
Also known as TK (Takeru) Takaishi.
Yeah, he's Matt's brother, despite the different last names.
Yeah, they are also from the same father.
He's also the youngest of the group; therefore he gets the girly rosy cheeks. Yeah, I had no idea how to make him look younger, because all Sims are the same age.
I thought about making him a toddler, but that didn't work.

Awww! Isn't he sweet!

Moar TK spam.
Yeah, he was my favorite.

Of course, TK also had issues, and he wasn't just a bag of sugar.
Nope, he could be irritating sometimes.

WAAAAAAH!"
Yup, that's why.

Cry, cry, cry

And for the final intelligence test, TK also passed it.
Well, I guess poor Matt didn't inherit the smart genes.

Next time:
- The debut of the very final stereotype of this group, The Mary Sue aka Hikari Yagami.
- We'll see how they react with each other on free will.
- And then most of these kids will grow up into their 02 selves. And the pairing wars will start! :)

Yeah, this photo shoot is just a lot of non-sense.
Really, I DO like Digimon Adventure. It's because I love it that it's so easy to make fun of it.
Thanks for watching! ^^

Until the next time the Brokes broke. (LOL Pun!)
