Desimber 31ish.

Dear Mom,
How are you? How is Mr. Tellerman? Is he treating you fine?
I'm pretty sure that by now David already told you about Cosmo's return.
Don't worry, things are better now.
When I woke the following day, I found Cosmo and the twins talking at the table.
"Is it true that there are tons of aliens among us?"

"Well, of course it's true. I'm talking to you, right now."
"And all of them are Graslaxians?"
"Most of them are, true. There are a few Snorlishmans here and there, but Earth has become mostly the Graslaxian's second home."
"Did you go to Graslax?"
"Just for a few hours at the beginning, but I mostly spent these last four years floating around Earth in the Mother ship."

I didn't want to interrupt this precious opportunity for my children to bond with each other, so I sat in the sofa and pretended I was reading.
I was so glad when I noticed that Molly, despite her fearful demeanor the previous night, was now open towards her older brother.
"That's so cool, Cosmo! Did they ever let you drive the spaceship?"
"Not really... they ordered me to study tons of books all the time. 56 was a severe tutor...."

Eventually, the twins went outside to play with their new toys.
Cosmo sat down next to me.
I noticed that although he was still wearing the alien clothes, the green makeup was gone along with the strange hairstyle.
"Henry helped me cut my hair. I'd completely forgotten how to do it myself."
"You look better that way... more like the Cosmo I remember."

"I'm still the same as always, Dad. I just took a long trip around the Solar System."
"Did he treat you well? Pollination Technician 56..."
"Well, he was busy abducting humans and pollinating them to pay much attention to me... and that reminds me that I now admire you more than ever, Dad. How were you able to survive such a violent process so I could exist..."

I cringed- "It was worth it, Cosmo. I remember P.T. 56 said you could become one of them..."
"Pfft! No way!"
"Anyway... what are your plans now, Cosmo?"
"Well... I want to finish High School, of course. I'm aware I won't be able to attend College at the same time as Henry and that I won't be able to reach him in time, even with extra coursework. But it's OK. When I was back at the Mother ship, I was marveled at the incredible studies they did about the human body. The Graslaxians have studied how humans work for many, many years, and that's why they were able to find a way to impregnate males with Graslaxian embryos."

"Uh... wouldn't be easier for them to just impregnate female humans?"
"Perhaps, but the Graslaxian Code says that they must respect the right of other races to exist. They can't use females, because they are the ones who give birth to human babies. Anyway, you won't believe how many medicines and machines they created! If that alien technology were used in this world's medicine, the rate of survival for the human race would increase like you've got no idea!"
"Are you telling me...?"
"Perhaps this is the reason I was destined to leave you, Dad. To learn all about the Graslaxian technology in order to help my fellow humans. It's time I also pay back to the human race... to you Dad. I'm gonna be a Doctor, that's what I want to be."
"That's wonderful, Cosmo! Because... hey... don't you smell something funny...?

"FIRE!"- screamed Henry as he pointed at the Christmas Tree.
Somehow, the lights made short circuit.

Don't worry, Mom. By now I'm an expert dealing with fires.
I could quit my job and become a fireman any day.

I'm happy now, Mom.
After that conversation with Cosmo (despite it's abrupt end), I feel more at peace.
Perhaps the pain from his absence will mean good things in the future.
And day by day he's turning back into the boy I raised.
He returned to the local High School today.
He was a bit worried by his pimples.
They might be signs of beauty in Graslax, but they aren't welcomed around human teens.

Cosmo also found a job as a Retirement Home Attendant. He's excited because he also starts working today.

And his relationship with Molly is wonderful now.
They dance together and do silly stuff together all the time.

He even taught her the secret "Graslaxian greeting".

So as you can see, things are back to normal, Mom.
I miss you. I hope Mr. Tellerman and you can come visit us one of these days.
Take care.
With love,
Beau.

My dear friend,

I know you'll never get this letter, for you are up and far away.
And I know I'll never see you again, and it pains me, for you were my only friend during all those years away from my home.
Our home.
I'm back with my parents and brothers. They can't compare to 56 and my hundreds of half-brothers.
Is 56 still mad at me for leaving the program?
Well, I don't care anymore if he is.
Beau and Lilith Broke are my parents. And that'll never change.

I've made everything to make up the pain I caused my loved ones.
For example, every morning I'm the first one to wake up and prepare breakfast.
Your cooking books were a great aid.

I'm trying to teach my little brother and sister how to cook too.
They are still learning and therefore are a bit...bad.
But I'm sure with practice they'll get better.
You love children, I'm sure you'd like them.

When something is broke, I'm the first one to fix it too.

And I'm trying to make up with my older brother, Henry.
He got a videogame system for Christmas and we play together all the time.
He's excellent!

So much that he even got a job as something called a "noob" after getting in contact with an elite circle on the net.

Dad still teaches at my High School. It's a bit weird to see him walk down the school's aisles.
But I've been told he's an excellent teacher, and my friend Sirius Curious told me that her father, Dean Vidcund Curious from La Fiesta Tech, wants to hire him as a College teacher.
Dad always wanted to be part of a College, so that'd be a great triumph for him.

The twins are now at school.
They are a bit nerdy, just like me.

Mom and Dad help them with their homework.

Until we all get bored and play videogames instead.
"No fair, Icaro!"

Despite those distractions, the twins get good grades at school.

But not everything is work at my house, though.
We have all kinds of fun together.
Molly is a bookworm, just like me.
But she's more into pretty princesses and fairy tales than sci-fi novels.

Icaro loves his sister's dollhouse. He's constantly playing alone...

Sometimes with Molly...

And I even found Dad playing with him the other day.

Dad says that the twins still keep some of her toddler habits...

Not that he's got the right to talk, though.
He still plays in the snow as much as he did as a teenager.
At least, that's what he says.

The three of us inherited his love for snow games, too.

I'm afraid some of the bad things from the days back at the spaceship will always remain with me, though.
The other day, despite being a cooking expert, I set the kitchen of fire.
Fortunately, I learned from my Dad and extinguished it quickly.

I was so ashamed by my failure, that I couldn't help it but to strip down and wash myself right then and there.
To clean out the smell of failure, as 56 always said when he punished me for failing my exams.
Good thing that no one was there to see me, though.

I still look up at the stars every night.
Hoping the ship might come down and leave you right here, in Strangetown.
It's be awesome! It'd teach you everything that has changed on Earth since you left it all those years ago.
But I guess that won't be possible.

Dad asked me- "Do you miss your friends from Graslax? Do you want to return to them?"
"Not really, Dad. You are everything I need. Well... I do miss someone, the only friend I ever had during those years... she's the most special girl I've ever met..."
"I'm sorry, Cosmo. But keep your faith strong and maybe you'll see her again... just as I did with you."

So, as you can see, I'm happy now.
I'm back with my family, and things are just the way they should be.
You are the only one who's missing.
And I hope I see you again some day.
Take care and remember that despite the time and distance, I'll always be your best friend.
With love,
Cosmo.

Dear Dustin,
Remember when I said back when we were teens that somehow I'd make it to College?

Guess what, Bro?
I did it!
I fucking did it!
I'm the new Astronomy teacher at La Fiesta Tech!
Sure, I thought I'd make it to College as a student, not a teacher.
But I'm not complaining at all!

Speaking of College...
Have you seen Henry lately?
We've got a couple of letters from him, but I'm afraid he's a bit busy enjoying the party life to write detailed messages,

Last time we saw him, Henry said he was going to study computing science, because he wanted to be a videogame designer.

Lilith was a bit depressed because of Henry's absence.
I thought that maybe redecorating the house a little would cheer her up.
Man! But I didn't expect so many changes!
Like the kitchen... or the boy's room (Icaro moved with Cosmo).

Molly's room too.
All right... I won't complain about my room. It finally looked like a real bedroom after 17 years living in that house.

And finally, the living room.
Sometimes I feel as if I were living in a new house.
But it's OK, Lilith is feeling a bit better now.

I remember you told me back at Lucy's wedding that you wanted Skip to attend a Private school.
Honestly, I never considered it a vital necessity... until that day when Cosmo brought that topic up.
I knew something was up as soon as I noticed that my son had prepared a really fancy breakfast.

"Dad?"
"What is it, Cosmo?"
"You said you wanted to give us the best education possible, right?"
"Of course..."
"Well... the other day I found a brochure from a private school at downtown and... I thought it would be nice if we could go there. They've got a very complete Biology program and... uh... it'll be easier for us to get a scholarship for College if we go there..."
"Uh... I don't know, Cosmo. I think the local High School is good enough. Besides, what matters is not the school you come from, but your brain. And the three of you are very smart."

But then Lilith said- "I feel like I'm betraying my inner teenage rebel who always hated going to private school, but I think it'd be a great opportunity for the kids, Beau. Despite how much trouble I got with the Principal and my teachers back then, now I realize that they gave an advantage when I started College. We've got savings and the kids could earn a scholarship. I think we should give it a try."

"Uh... all right. If you say so, Lilith, I'm gonna trust you. But what should we do to get them into Private School."
"It is a bit of a complicated process... first, Cosmo needs to call the school and invite it's Headmaster over for dinner. He needs to make sure we are "a good family" before allowing our kids to attend his school."

"Then, you need to make sure the house is spotless..."

"Because once the Headmaster arrives, he'd want one of the kids to give him a tour around the place."

"Then, it's just a matter of him liking or not what he sees..."

"After the tour, I'm gonna entertain him for a little while. You know, talk about the school, his job, our family... I've got experience with this kind of people, so I already know what they like to hear..."

"Meanwhile, Cosmo- with your help, Beau- will prepare an amazing dinner.
Something really fancy, like caviar or lobster."
"Uh... that's a bit extreme... I hope he likes Roast Beef, better."

"During dinner, he's going to interview the kids. Make sure they are good children."
"Of course they are!"
"Then I guess that'll be the easy part of the evening..."

"If everything goes according to plan, the Headmaster will congratulate us for having a decent family and accept the kids at the Private School."

And that's what we did, Bro.
Of course, things weren't as easy as Lilith described them.
The nanny decided to bake a cake right as Cosmo was trying to prepare the roast.
I had to clean the kitchen and dinning room as Icaro gave the Headmaster the tour.
Icaro was nearly in tears from boredom.
Then, my colleague Samantha decided to visit me by surprise.
And one of Cosmo's work buddies too!
But the kids got into Private School.
And they seem happy in their fancy uniforms.
I never dreamed of being in one of those schools as a kid... I'd sure look ridiculous in one of those outfits.
Well, Dustin, I hope to get some news from you very soon.
Take care,
Beau.

Hello Angela!
How have you been?
Really? How far along is she?
I can't believe you're going to be a grandma so soon!
Wish Mother was still with us to see it...

Things are going OK. Cosmo finally left for La Fiesta Tech a couple days ago.
Of course, Beau was excited.

The twins are great, enjoying the house for themselves.

By the way, thanks for sending my old piano over, Angela.
Icaro loves it, he plays it all the time.

Beau still teaches at La Fiesta Tech (and the way he keeps an eye on Cosmo) and was just promoted to High School Principal.
He says his school is better than the twins' fancy academy.

Me? Well... something odd happened a week ago, just before Cosmo left.
I woke up one morning feeling very tired and my back hurt.

"Mom? Are you all right?"
"It's nothing, Cosmo. It's just something called age. I'm gonna turn 60 in just a couple of weeks, after all.
It's normal to feel tired with the years."

"Don't worry Mom! I know of something that'll make you feel better in no time!"

Cosmo spent the whole morning in the kitchen, preparing some kind of soup. It smelled weird.

Just before he left for his job, he showed me a strange recipient filled with some kind of green juice.
"This is a secret recipe from Graslax. The P.T.'s usually inject it to the human males they abduct to make them stronger for their pregnancies. Drink a glass and I promise you'll feel like new."

You know I trust Cosmo as if he were my real son, so I followed his advice.

I can't really explain what happened, but I felt full of energy as soon as I drank the juice.
It was a wonderful sensation!
I hadn't felt this good in years!

When Beau arrived from his job, I literally attacked him.
Not that he minded, of course.

We had the best sex in years, Angela.
Just like when we were just married.

I told Beau that I was feeling so fine because of Cosmo's juice.
It must had some weird property like the alien formula we fed the twins with as toddlers.
He tried it and felt just as great as we were.

Cosmo arrived from job a couple hours later.
He was thrilled, because he had just been promoted to Emergency room technician.
Everyone in the hospital were impressed with his knowledge and skills.
He made the patients feel like new like magic.
Perhaps his success at his job was related to the juice?

"That juice you made is amazing, Cosmo! Is it some kind of Graslaxian medicine?"
"Sure, it's Graslaxian technology, but it's more than a medicine. Sure, if you only drink a spoonful, it works as an amazing medicine that cures most colds and flu instantly."
"And somehow I think you were giving your patients at the Nursery Home a bit of that medicine."
"Of course! I said I was going to share Graslaxian technology with the human race, right?"

"But Cosmo... what happens if you drink a whole glass of juice, as you asked me to?"
"Well, the green juice is actually called the Elixir of Life by the Graslaxians. What it does it that it makes you younger. That glass you took actually made you five years younger. You are 55 years old again..."
"Wait a minute!"
- said Beau.-"That means I'm now 47 again? I'm the same age as David now?!"
"And I'm younger than Angela?"
"Well... yes... but isn't that good? You could be young forever! Graslaxian drink it all the time. P.T. 56 was born as the same time as P.T. Smith and look how young he looks!"
"Cosmo... I know your intentions were good, but we won't drink that juice again...."

"Huh? Why not?"
"Because that's now how humans work. We were born to eventually die someday. We can't change the order of things. Imagine if you were immortal somehow, Cosmo. What would you feel if you remained the same all the time while the rest of the world aged? What if somehow the twins were suddenly old men while you were still just a teen? I'm sure that's the reason P.T. Smith stopped drinking the juice when he started living here."
"Oh... I'm... I'm sorry..."
"It's OK, Cosmo. Perhaps these extra years were given to me in order to do something good with them. Just promise you won't give high doses to your patients at the hospital."
"I promise..."

Yeah... I agree, Angela.
Wish we could feed it to Mom... or Dad...
But it's too late now.
But that's the way things should be...
We shouldn't mess with time at all...

Lucy? Thank Goodness it's you!
Huh? Why am I whispering?
I can't let them hear me right now... I don't want to scare them until I make sure that we are not hallucinating things.
Lilith is scared too.

Don't worry, Lucy!
Lilith is just fine!
We are both fine, same as always.

The twins? Yeah, also fine. They've just turned 14.
No, there are no problems with them!
Icaro? Just as shy as always.
Well, I'm afraid that private school has influenced him a little.
He says he wants to be a merchant just like his classmate's parents.
He says that one day he'll have lot's of top-rated businesses.

Molly is fine too.
Yeah, poor girl... she looks a lot like me.
Don't laugh, it's serious!
She also thinks like me and my mother... she says she also wants to have a huge family.
Actually, she wants to have more than six children.
Just to attend each one of their weddings.

No, Lucy.
The problem is with Cosmo.
Yeah...
He's OK, though.
He's now on his third year at La Fiesta Tech.
Yup, still wants to be a doctor.

Listen... it all started when I got a letter from him.
I was so glad, Lucy! He had fallen in love!
In his letter, he informed me that he had found the right woman for him.
And that they were already engaged.
Sure, a bit fast, but I was thrilled.

So I called him and invited him for dinner.
We wanted to meet his fiancée.

The doorbell rang two hours ago.
I quickly went to the door.

I found my son kissing a dark haired woman...

And as soon as he noticed me, he hugged me tightly.
"Dad! I'm so happy! I just can't wait for you to meet her!"

"Remember when I told you about my friend from the time I was on the Graslaxian ship?
I found her! She finally returned to Earth! You were right, Dad, it was just a matter of keeping my faith strong!"

"Dad... I'd like you to meet my fiancé, Bella Goth."

It's her Lucy, the woman you told me about in your Wedding.
Your... mother in law.
I don't know what to do... or to say to them...
Cosmo has no idea about her past...

Please, you've got to tell Alex as soon as possible.
You've got to come here...
Please...

Notes:
- Next update will include Cosmo's years in College and how he got in contact with Bella Goth.
- Cosmo broke my personal record in College Scholarships: 5500 Simoleons. He got the alien, cooking, mechanical, job, academic and athletic scholarships. I guess his time in "Graslax" paid well in the end.
- Originally, I wanted Beau to marry Bella... but I was never able to find her.
- Luckily, Lilith is BFF with Bella (she was one of her contacts when she moved in as a townie).
- Speaking of that, I've just discovered that Lilith had a lot of stuff in her rewards panel: A piano, a huge TV, chess table, a tall mirror, an expensive fountain, a stove and two dancing spheres. Therefore, I was able to re-decorate the house ^_^.
- And now that all three of Beau's children are grown up, it's time to choose an heir:

- Thanks for reading and see you next time! :)
