She dreams of a yellow house, right in the middle of the desert,




complete with a thriving flower garden, both earned after so many years of hard work and learning.




She dreams of the seven presents that destiny has unexpectedly left for her.




She dreams of their games,




their music,




and their dancing.




She dreams of their hopes, their curiosity




and their laughter.




She dreams of a family,




so similar, yet so different to any other one you have ever met.




She dreams of cool desert evenings, wondering about those who are now living among the stars,




She dreams of wicked grins and dirty jokes,




of those long afternoons dedicated to artistic creation,




that slowly transform into nights of passion.




She dreams of love,




so similar, yet so different to any other one you have ever experienced.




But then, she wakes up.

- This drabble was actually part of the Gen 5.7. update, but it also worked as a stand alone short story. This was mostly an "update" on what has happened to Helena and her family during the last five years.

- Now, you may wonder what made Helena "wake" from her idyllic life, right? Well, that's a secret for now ;).

- All right, two prompts down, three more to go:

And of course, I have to finish Gen 5.7. and I sort of want to continue with Twin Town now that I've recovered Pumpkin's character file. So it seems there's still stuff to do for my sort-of-Nano project ^^.

I'm interested in hearing about what wakes her up from this. Things are never simple, are they? It's not surprising that something eventually happens to break the calm, especially given the situation here.

(On a different note, the shot of Ripp posing nude with the insane, dirty grin is priceless. XD)

Basically, the family will face a long separation pretty soon. Although that's nothing new for Helena, it's been a while since it last happened (and back then there weren't as many children as today).

I had a few different pics of the nude posing, but I ended up with this one because I was afraid that Photobucket would delete them (even if my skins are "barbie".

So, although I couldn't use a more explicit pose, I made sure the face would express all those dirty thoughts he must have surely had while posing. And it wasn't far from reality, because ACR kicked in just after I was done with the pics... and he impregnated Helena yet again.

Ripp must have super sperm!

I'm still debating on letting her keep the baby (and face the implosion of that lot) or just pretend that didn't happen in the story.

I love the way you've written this. It's almost like a poem.

Oh, I see. Does it have something to do with that glimpse into the future you posted a while back (which I still haven't commented on like I intended to *is shamed*)? The one with Ripp, Tommy, and and Mr. Mole? I'm guessing that Ripp (and maybe also Calvin) have to go off on another mission?

His mouth just seems larger than normal in that shot. You're using the facial overlays, right? Is it like a layering of a bunch of different grins? I'm curious about it.

ANOTHER baby?! That really is some crazy sperm your Ripp has (which is funny, because I've always imagined a gag about him for my story where the opposite is true). Or more likely it's Helena, since she has those huge multiple births. Or maybe they just don't believe in using any form of birth control? Either way, that's crazy.

I think I'd just go with it and have the baby. The family is so huge anyway... why not? It's like the romance sims achieving the family sim dream (is that Helena's secondary? It should be... I made her knowledge, though... seemed to fit).

How do you set your risky woohoo? I recently had mine at 100% and didn't get a whole lot of result from it, but you seem to get lots of action with it. (Or were some of these "try for baby"?)

Yup, it is related to that teaser. Let's just say that Ripp will experience a lot of action (although not his favorite kind :P) in the near future, even if he's getting a bit old for that. Calvin is not going to join them in that mission, but Ripp will have to work with another friend ;).

I used the modeling box from Decorgal, yep. I tried to overlay a few expressions (I wanted to have him wink) but it looked too unnatural to me, so I only used one. That face is from the "Oh so hot" option. It's hilarious to see it in action, because the sim's face goes through many expressions quite quickly. I was lucky to pause the game at just the right moment, just when his eyebrows were high and his mouth showing that stupid, dirty grin.

My sims don't seem to acknowledge the existence of birth control! Or more exactly, I love babies (and potential new characters), so I rarely fiddle with the ACR options.

Yeah, I'm gonna go with the baby. It'll add "moar angst" to Helena's side of the story (and I get to see their genes in action yet again, so far they've had cute kids in my game).

Most of Helena's children have been "accidental" story-wise, because my silly sims actually tried for baby on their own. Yup, even back when Helena and Ripp were both single romance sims, they wanted a kid! My Helena has a secondary knowledge, 'cause you are right, it fits her. The Ripp of this story is not a clone anymore. It is "the real one" from the game (no secondary aspirations yet) and he's not married to Helena, yet he impregnated her.

I guess I should assign him the family aspiration. With four children already (and a fifth... maybe even eighth one with my luck) it seems logical. Hey! I could even end up fulfilling the "have 10 kids want" for him! :S

Don't worry. Things won't get as ugly as they seem for them, although they'll have to deal with a short difficult period. It is all related to the main problem of this generation, and if you've read the teaser I posted a few weeks ago (the one that takes in the future), you might figure out more or less what it is.
