maxis_taste Dare #2. Silly me assumed I could use Maxis townies instead of the PLAYABLE sims required for this challenge.
So, here I go again! :D
Just a warning, though, for this submission is related to the Broke Legacy. This is a HUGE teaser about what's coming up in a few updates, because it takes place twenty years after the tragic events at Takemizu Village. I was eager to try a few things I recently downloaded from MTS2 in order to include them in the storyline, hence this little story.
So, BEWARE TEH EVIL SPOILERS!!!! (Though if you haven't read the Legacy yet you are safe for now ;) ).
*Sigh*
Relax, kid. We're gonna get out of this mess, I promise!
After all, this isn't the first time these bastards have captured me!
Ha! No one has ever stopped Captain Ripp Grunt and his crew! ARRRR! They have no idea who are they messing with!
So, cheer up, Tom! There's nothing to worry about. I have a plan!
Oh Hell, No! I refuse to follow another of your fucking plans, Grunt! That's what got us in this shit in the first place!
Hey! That wasn't my fault, Mole! How could I ever imagine that Komelien would betray us?!
Komelien was part of your crew, Grunt! And that's precisely your problem! You are too... gullibly! The Commander was right, we shouldn't have let you take part in this mission!
Ha! As if! Smith has NO idea of who are all of you messing with! The Vlorgians are way more dangerous than they seem. Without my help and experience, you'd be already dead by now!
That's hard to believe, seeing how you've done nothing but get us into trouble since your arrival!
Tom barely listened to his friend's discussions, for his mind had way more important things to worry about than the old rivalry between the Graslaxian Army and his Uncle's Crew.
Like his wife's life.
They were running out of time.
Tom was sure that as soon as this spaceship landed in Vlorgia, it'd be impossible to save her...
"The intruders have been captured, General. Should I terminate them now?"
"No. I want to do that personally..."
"Is the human girl with you?"
"Affirmative."
"Is she safe?"
"Yes, Sir."
"What about her product?"
"In optimal conditions."
"Excellent! Our Pollination team will be pleased when they hear these news..."
No! He wouldn't let them harm her! He was stronger now! He had trained so hard to avenge his mother! He wouldn't make the same mistake twice!
He had to leave this cell!
And he had to do it NOW!
"Broke?"
"Tom?"
*POOF*
*Gasp!*
(What the...?!)
"WHOA!"
"That... that was amazing, kid! Where did you learn that move?!"
Tom smiled as his mind traveled back twenty years.- "Well..."
... I guess the legends were true, after all. This... this is my mother's last gift...
But this isn't the time to ponder.
Let's go!

It's so funny that they basically fell in love on their own before I had ACR. All it took was one influence from Marina and they started being all over eachother 24/7. And if she didn't do that, I'm pretty sure they would have done it by themselves eventually, like Aggie and Antares- though I believe that those two were just desperate pervs. It's their personality spreads; both of them are sloppy, nice, outgoing, serious, and active.
I think I'm becoming an impulse shopper on pixel_trade myself. And I already have to download all the founders for the founder submissions already since I'm in charge of that. And if they're aliens? Most of the time they get downloaded immediately.
I just might need to use some for my storyline eventually too. The ones officially in the story right now came from CAS though. I'm probably going to use pixel_trade for if I ever need any more non maxis-made characters as well.

Date: 2008-08-26 02:43 am (UTC)The most annoying part of finding the "middle age" hair was that 99% of it was black, therefore useless for Ripp. Uh, CC creators? Brunette, red and blond hair turn white too!
I almost chose the army buzz cut for Ripp's makeover (because he's in the army, sort of, but mostly for shits and giggles) but then I realized that was extremely out of character for Ripp :P.
Oh, sorry! :D My bad! Kosmelien 4EVER! It's very amusing how they fell in love without ACR's help. Before I had that hack, I had to force my sims to interact with others in a romantic way.
Pixel Trade is my fave comm. Thanks to it, I no longer have to make sims on CAS (something I hate, it's booooring) plus the often include interesting backstories to include in my own. It's a win/win situation in every aspect.
