Family Portraits: The Broke Legacy

I've just learned how to turn a set of skintones into defaults. So, I edited a couple Circonflex skintones and I finally have a set I'm almost 100% happy with. The S1 skin is a bit too pale for my tastes, but I can live with that, because at least the four tones now look different enough for my computer graphics.

So, to try them out, I opened my three neighborhoods and took pics of all my sims. I was asked to take a pic for a banner (which I won't show for now, for that reason), but I also took some "Family Portraits" for a set of paintings to decorate my lots. In the end I got lazy, so I'll recolor the painting later, but for now I'll show you them the results. I'm quite pleased with how they came out.

This entry includes the family portraits from the Broke Legacy. I'll post the ones from Twin Island later tonight.

Speaking of Gen 5, I think I'll post a "Heir Poll" this week, because the course of the legacy's storyline depends on who's chosen as Heir. Meanwhile, take a look at them as teens :P.

Oh, Thomas! How handsome you've become. The aloof look works really well with him. And while generally, make up on guys is not my thing, it looks really good on his sim self.

I'm starting to wonder what's in store for the Brokes. The news may be out, but it's not like Olive Specter was really an angel. Plus, only Ophelia, Brokes and Grunts were on the lot when the story was told. So is this emotional turmoil only from within? Or does the public eventually find out?

I hope the next chapter will be up soon.

By the way, where's Thomas' hair from? I haven't really visited CC sites lately, having had little time for the game as is.

Yeah, I'm not fond of makeup on guys either, but for Tom it makes sort of sense. He adopted that look both to anger his father and also because he thinks it makes him look "dangerous", so people will leave him alone. And he's got a few "valid" reasons (for him) to want that.

At the moment of this picture, the people of Strangetown still ignore the real story, but the turnmoil that hit the Brokes after their encounter with Olive left the family in pieces. There were some nasty consequences, and Tom (being so young) is still suffering from them. Let me see if I can find it again...

That eyeliner is very girly, though, so it's good the hair covers a bit of it. I'm gonna dowload a more "neutral" one, or at least go back to the Maxis defaults.

The hair is from MTS2. It's very old, actually. I found him while I was looking for an "Punk-esque" hair for Tom, I actually put "Punk" as search term. It's an edit of a Seomi hair.
