Yeah, most people think that both Tank and the General truly hate Ripp and/or Buck.
When I started playing that household, while it was true that Tank and Ripp had a horrible relationship, the General's first action was to hug Buck, despite not being the nicest Sim in the neighborhood.
If you like reading about the Strangetown characters, I reccomend you to check out strange_tomato 's story "Strangetown: Here we Come". It totally follows the game "canon" (at least at the beginning) and it's incredibly well done. It's my favorite Sim Story ^^.
