The Broke Legacy: Gen 3.7 (Part 2)
Oct. 8th, 2007 03:26 pm

I could barely believe that I was finally in my last year at College.
It felt like if I had spent a life-time over here.
The more time passed, the sadder I felt.
I'd surely miss this place!

Oh well... if there was something I wouldn't miss, it was those freaking term papers!

Sterling and I still saw each other frequently.
We were good friends and he introduced me to all his acquaintances.
We often went out together to dinner or to the movies.
He introduced me to his girlfriend, a pretty girl named Mallory, during one of our outings.
I was glad he'd moved on.

Saturn got suddenly quieter.
He didn't go out as much as he did, nor he brought girls to the dorm with the same frequency as the previous days.

He spent most days working in the computer, and reading self-help and Psychology books.
"I guess it's time I stop fooling around and place my feet on the ground. I've got a huge responsibility coming on, after all."

He still tried to woo girls once in a while.
He said he was looking for someone serious who would take care of his "product".
But I'm afraid Old Mrs. Crumplebottom was not exactly what he was looking for!

Puck was torn between the prospect of living in Strangetown, or going back to Veronaville.
We had already talked about it many times.
I was ready to leave this town, to start a new life with him.

He was also glad to leave College, and the annoying extra-curricular classes, behind.
He wasn't exactly fond of his "Toy Designing" and "Intercultural Education" classes.

Despite how busy we were, we still found time to have fun and fool around.
Adulthood was just around the corner, these were the last months to be carefree!
_______________________

The dorm felt a little bit empty without Marcel and Arcadia (yeah, even I missed the bitch), who had finally graduated last term.
But we soon got company.
One of them was Saturn's sister, Halley Broke.

Halley had chosen the History Major, and wished to be a History Teacher.
She loved children and was her brothers and sisters best playmate.
Which was a blessing for poor Aunt Molly... who had finally "closed the factory" after her seventh kid.
Halley had a boyfriend since High School, and she spent hours and hours on the phone with him.

Our other room mate was Isabel Broke. Yup, another cousin. She's Uncle Icaro's daughter.
Isabel was a LOT like me. She also believed that life is too short and we should enjoy as much as possible.
She loved to have fun!
But unlike me, she didn't like videogames. She was more into parties and boys.
She loved going out with guys.

Puck knew a lot of people at Campus, so he often invited her to the many, many parties he attended.
I was more of the "stay at home" kind of girl. I loved staying in my couch in pajamas and beat the last Zelda game.
So, I was glad that Puck had someone to go to parties with.
They soon became good friends.

-"It's a good thing that we are still living in this dorm, Puck. I remember being so nervous when I was in my freshman year, so it was a huge help to have Andrew around. We must make sure they get used to College life as soon as possible."

And that's exactly what we did.
Puck and I spent several hours a day keeping them company.
We talked about home and we showed them everything around the Campus.

"You are so lucky, Cousin Wanda! I wish I had a boyfriend as nice as Puck!"

- "Oh, don't worry Isabel! There's plenty of awesome guys here at La Fiesta Tech and you are beautiful and smart. I'll introduce you to them!"

Time went by and we were soon in the middle of our last term!
We'd graduate in just 8 weeks!
I was so nervous with all the final papers, the thesis and the exams.
So, Puck proposed we went out and forget about school.
"You're gonna love this place, Wanda."

We had dinner at The Botanical Garden. A nice, green restaurant, filled with trees and flowers.

- "I discovered it when I was in my freshman year. I was a bit homesick and missed the gardens back at Veronaville. I'm gonna take you to my house soon, you'll love my mother's garden. I grew up watching her taking care of it. Anyway, I found this place and it made me feel like home..."

The place was beautiful, indeed.
We spent the next two hours joking and toasting for our future.
For the best videogame ever (which I'd design, of course) and for the best Law Firm in the province, with offices at Strangetown and Veronaville (Andrew and Puck's project).

We were so busy flirting and enjoying each other's company...

... that I didn't notice when someone stole my plate of ribs!

But we were too happy to care about it.
"Don't worry, Wanda, there's still dessert. And I know the perfect place for it!"

And so, we left the restaurant and went to our next stop.

- "This is... the place where we first met!"
- "Well, I guess this can be considered our place..."
- "Hmmm... I was sure you thought that was so cheesy..."

- "Well... yeah... but I guess we can indulge in some cheesiness now and then, right?"

Although Puck wanted to sit in the same table we were back then, it was already occupied.
I guess life can't be as predictable as we want it to be.
But we didn't mind, so we enjoyed The Hub's specialty, Baked Alaska in peace.

Even if I felt like someone was watching us...

Puck was a bit nervous.
I'm no fool, I already had an idea where this was going to... and that had me also nervous in turn!

Later, we slow danced for a long time.
Perhaps the terrifying screams from a karaoke singer weren't the background music, but we didn't mind.

And suddenly, Puck got on one knee.

Oh my Goodness! This is it!

"Will you marry me, Wanda?"

I guess you can imagine what I said, right?

It was the best night of my life.
I'd never forget it.
And the best part?
This was just the first of many wonderful nights we'd spend together.
I was going to get married!
______________________

I woke up when I felt someone moving at the other side of the bed.
"Wanda?"
But it wasn't my fiancée.
Nope... it was her again!

Oh... how I regretted that stupid mistake.
I wasn't careful and drank too much at that party.
I still don't know why I did it.
The kiss didn't even feel good.
I felt guilty for months after that.

Despite avoiding her for months, there she was again.
Entering to my room, in the middle of the night, in her underwear.

"Come on, Puck. Just this one time..."

I pushed her away.
"For the last time, Isabel. I'm not going to cheat on Wanda. I'm not interested in you that way!"

This was getting tiresome.
She wasn't just stalking me anymore... she was in the border of assault.
She took my hand and placed it on her chest.
Please..."

"Stop it! And get out of my room! I don't want you near me again!"
She just nodded and left.
Was this it? Had she finally understood that there wouldn't be anything between us?
I really hoped so... the last thing I wanted was to Wanda to find out.
I'd confess to her, really... but it's her cousin.
I didn't want to hurt her...

Graduation time!
I graduated with a 4.0 GPA!
Take that, Andrew! I had fun AND got good grades!

Puck graduated with a 3.7 GPA... and lots of friends.

While Saturn graduated with a 3.9 GPA and an offer for a prestigious culinary school.
But he rejected it.
He said he'd be busy for at least the following 5 years.
What was wrong with him?

We had an awesome party! Everyone I knew was there!
I wished Grandpa were there too...

I finally met Halley's mysterious boyfriend at the party.
Man! He was hot!

While Dad and Puck chatted for hours.
Dad was especially interested in Puck's weird extra-curricular classes.
He said they'd be very useful to him in the future.
When I told him we were engaged (and planning a new life at Veronaville), Dad got a bit nervous.
I guess it's odd for a parent when their daughter leaves the nest.

The party ended just as we started our College years.
The four of us together, playing for one last time.

Perhaps Andrew and I never fulfilled our dream of having the best rock band ever...

... but it didn't matter, because we already had new dreams to accomplish in our future.

Good bye, La Fiesta Tech!
Thanks for everything!

Notes:
- College is oveeeeer! I swear the next generation I'm not sending the kids to college... or I'll use the college adjuster. It's way too long and I eventually got bored.
- The whole drama between Isabel and Puck is all ACR's fault! I was just playing on fast speed because the Sims were asleep, when suddenly, I hear the "I got my first kiss" sound and paused. I looked at Isabel, and there she was, with the first kiss icon over her head. And when I checked her memories... yup, it was Puck. Silly Sims, they woke up in the middle of the night and kissed. And because they already had a good relationship, the fell in love with each other.
At this point I was, "Gee Puck... if you mess things up with Wanda, there's still Sterling (who never got jealous of their relationship) and you are out of the game." I left the sims alone, and a few nights after they got engaged, Isabel woke up, got naked and "relaxed" on Puck's bed. He also got "ready" for the woo hoo and then... he rejected her. For several Sim hours, Isabel tried to woo hoo with Puck and he still rejected her. All those pictures of her trying to woo him are on free will. I felt a bit sad for Isabel, because Puck rejected every single move she made. Perhaps he was just being faithful to Wanda?
- Autumn haaaates Cosmo. As soon as she moved into the house, she started poking, insulting, slapping and irritating poor Cosmo, who's a huge 10-nice-points wuss that NEVER fought back. She got well with everyone else, though. I got so sick of Emo Cosmo that I moved Andrew out. I was on the verge of boolproping a nice death for this bitch, but she was pregnant, so she was saved. I love the comments about a satellite falling over her... perhaps I'll have her watch the clouds for a while.
- The engagement date was full of WTF. Yup, that girl stole Wanda's dinner. And then, while my sims were starving and I had them eat baked Alaska, that Grunt dude went and stole Puck's dinner. What?! And he kept stalking them too! Which gives me an idea, though...
- Cookies for anyone who caught the Shakespeare hints. The first two "poems" are the ones from the game, of course.
- And in case you think the scene where Puck confesses his love to Wanda had those bubbles in the background to create a romantic mood... nope, that was a glitch:

- Finally, a tip for anyone who's making an uglacy. I know I've said that all Maxis Sims are cute in their own way (I like Nervous, for example) but... Romeo Monty, he's scary as a young adult.
Thanks for reading! Gen 4 is coming up next! ^_^

Date: 2007-10-08 08:50 pm (UTC)I think one of the ACR jealousy settings (and it might work for being faithful as well?) changes when a sim is enagaged, and then again when they're married. It might be that setting that was rejecting Isabel (that hussy!) because of his engagement? :/

EW, GET AWAY FROM PUCK, ISABEL. EW! Oh, Puck, what did you do? =(
Whenever I send a generation to college, their generation updates seem to go on forever. Sending them there is fun, but I'm not going to send every generation of my new legacy to college. Maybe I'll send the ones I really like! LOL
Puck rejected Isabel's advances? Good! I can't believe a sim did something smart on their own for once.
Ooh, a satelite falling on Autumn? That would be beautiful. She deserves to die. What a hateful bitch.
General Grunt does hate aliens... ;)

I love Wanda's hair. It's a return to her wild roots.
Aww!!! Wanda and Puck are engaged! And I SO KNEW IT!!! Damn that Isabel is a slut! How could she do that to her cousin, I'm really, really happy that Puck denied her.
I don't think I could use ACR because they do what they want. For the most part I let my sims do what they want unless they're going to cheat with someone I don't want them too, like Puck and Isabel.

And just out of curiosity, is every generation going to marry a Maxis PC? ( If so you should so use Stella Terrano from the LFTech bin, she's the prettiest game-made alien I've ever seen. )

Date: 2007-10-09 03:19 am (UTC)i like the fact that you brought Halley and isabel (i dont really remember their names) to uni...and personally i use uni for a bit, then get tired so i use the insim and speed through it...it works wonders for me :)
Ewww Evil Isabel is trying to get Puck to cheat on Wanda...beat her senseless, or shove her under the same satellite that will befall autumn (they dont even deserve their own satellites).
I <3 the Puck-Man!!!

Date: 2007-10-09 04:04 pm (UTC)Also, the hair Wanda has is the exact same cut as my hair! Thank goodness senzastelle posted the link, I've been searching for a cut close to mine for ages. I would have been nagging you about it! xD

Date: 2007-10-12 10:33 pm (UTC)AND OH THE DRAMA. :O XD It makes for an interesting, entertaining, and generally great story to read. XD Plus, the way you tell it makes it so good. ^_^
And the notes killed me after I read them. XD COLLEGE FTW/FTL depending. XD (Though I definitely do agree with you; I do not see myself sending every gen's kids to college...unless they're knowledge or something and whine if they don't go. =P)

Date: 2008-08-07 08:12 pm (UTC)Wanda and Puck are just beyond cute. And did Autumn not know what family she was marrying into? Ugh!
I *heart* this story so much!
