There you can download the fix (and put it in your downloads folder, of course). With my already born "alien" sims (Wanda, Halley and Saturn) at first the fix didn't seem to work. I had to change their appereance for the black eyes to appear (so I had to wait until Wanda grew into a toddler).
I hope that if other alien kids are born in the future, they'll have their eyes since birth.
