The Broke Legacy: Gen 2 Spares

I don't know if this happens to you, but every time I read a legacy, I end up wondering what happened to those Sims that weren't chosen as heirs.

I know that most of them end in "Europe" or in the family bin limbo. And it's pretty hard to keep playing every sibling from each generation.

So, I made some sort of photo shoot with my version of Icaro and Molly's lives after they left the Legacy home. I didn't play them the traditional way because I cheated a lot with the Insimenator to create their children (so they will interact with their cousins Andrew and Wanda in next updates, I hope). I'll try to make one of these updates every time I enter a new generation.

I'm not including Henry because he's not an official non-heir, but maybe if I find the time I'll make an entry with him and the Gen 1 non-heirs (Dustin and David).

Anyway, here comes the weird experiment...

(BTW, the "recent" pictures are supposed to take place 7 years after Cosmo's wedding).






We all know what happened after Cosmo Broke graduated from La Fiesta Tech but... what about his twin siblings?
Well, this is their story...




As a Literature student, Molly spent most of her time at College reading many books, most of them immortal classics.
But she had a guilty pleasure: She enjoyed reading cheesy romance novels now and then.
Molly was a hopeless romantic at heart, so she often dreamed of the day she'd meet a handsome gentleman who'd take her away to his castle.
And they'd live happily ever after... and have lots of kids.




Molly found her Prince Charming at her older brother's wedding.
She knew about him from Cosmo's letters, she was aware he was a ladies man.
But he was just... so hot!
And so romantic! He just knew the right words to make her knees weak.




Their relationship moved way too fast. They had an incredible chemistry.
Molly never imagined she'd love someone as much as she loved Andromeda.




Andromeda taught her that relationships aren't just kisses and hugs, like in her romance novels.
Nope... he taught her many other pleasures...




And soon, they couldn't keep their hands away from each other...




Not even in public spaces.




Of course, so much woo-hooing had consequences.
Molly felt sick and threw up constantly.
But she wasn't as naive as everyone though, she was well aware that she was pregnant.
And so she had to choose between her baby and her college studies.




Molly didn't think it twice.
She called Andromeda and informed him about his impending fatherhood.
He was shocked (despite his constant bragging about his "pollinating" mission with the ladies), but he asked Molly to move in with him.
And so Molly dropped out from College.
She never regretted her decision.

So...







Molly currently works as an horoscope writer at the local newspaper.
Despite her incomplete studies, she was able to get a job right away.
She had talent, after all. And her boss often told her that she could go really far...




... if she wasn't pregnant all the freaking time!




Molly and Andromeda have been together for almost seven years.




Andromeda is a famous chef who has his own TV show called "Aphrodisiac Taste from Outer Space".
Most ladies watch him not for his cooking skills... but because he's "the hottest chef in Sim City".





Molly and Andromeda are still madly in lust... err... love.




Andromeda thinks that Molly looks beautiful when she's pregnant.




Back when she was expecting their first child, Andromeda was "convinced" by Cosmo and Beau to make things official with Molly.
So, he asked her to marry him.
She accepted... but they never married.
They are happy just by living together... Molly doesn't need a ceremony to make their family "official".




Molly gave birth to their first son a week later...




It was a boy, and they named him Saturn.




Saturn inherited both grandpa's blonde hair and Daddy's eyes.




Three years later, Molly gave birth to a baby girl.


They named her Halley.
Molly thinks her daughter is the prettiest girl in the universe.




Saturn is now six years old.
He's an outgoing little boy... like his father.




The Curious-Broke family is happy.
Andromeda achieve both of his dreams: Not only is he a famous chef, but he's also succeeding in his pollinating mission.
And as for Molly... she's almost halfway on her own dream.
She's pregnant again!

For almost two years, Icaro Broke studied non-stop.
He wasn't at College to goof around like Molly.
He wanted a future and to earn enough money for his future family.
Problem was that he still didn't have someone to share his well-planned future with.




That changed the day the most beautiful woman he had ever seen arrived at his dorm.
When he realized who she was, he felt numb.
It was Kendall Lawson, his high school sweetheart.
They hadn't seen each other since she had moved to Veronaville 5 years earlier.




Kendall was so happy to see Icaro again.




And then, something odd happened.
Sure, they had dated as teens... but this was different.
They felt an incredible attraction to each other.
Not only did they like each other physically, but they also shared interests and a common goal in life.
Both wanted stable financial futures.
It was too good to be true.




Icaro wasted no time and asked Kendall to marry him one month later.
She accepted.




His fiancée was a huge aid during his last months at College.
They both studied together every night.
Naturally, they both graduated with honors.




And they couldn't wait to start a new future together.

So...









Despite following a Biology Major like his brother, Icaro found his vocation in the music scene.
He always loved playing the piano, and soon he found a nice-paying job at a bar.
With the years, his compositions became popular and soon he was hired by a record company.




He's now an Studio Musician... and he's currently preparing his first CD.




Icaro and Kendall live together since their Graduation.




They got married six months later.
Icaro wished Cosmo had smiled during the ceremony...
but he understood that the wedding brought painful memories about his recently deceased wife.




They remained childless for a couple years.
They both worked hard on their careers and wanted to be financially stable before starting a family.
But just as they celebrated their third anniversary,
Kendall had great news for Icaro.




They were expecting a baby!




Kendall gave birth to a healthy girl.




She was the splitting image of Grandma Lilith, up to her characteristic green eyes.




They named her Isabel.




Icaro and Kendall are currently busy with their careers and raising Isabel.
They want another kid, but just as with Isabel, they are going to wait for the right time.




Meanwhile, they'll just enjoy the life they worked so hard for...

Notes:
- Yeah, not much plot for this update. But as I said, it was mostly a photoshoot.
- Man! Those weird gray eyes again. And the father is also an alien... I'm now pretty sure those are glitched alien eyes. That means Wanda inherited alien characteristics... I wish I could fix that glitch, though...
- Kendall and Icaro had three bolts of attraction. It's insane. They just can't stay two seconds apart.
- 10-nice-points parents are the cutest things ever: Icaro is much like Cosmo personality-wise, and he also spends all his time cuddling and playing with his daughter. He's an even better parent than most Family Sims.
- Isabel is a black-haired Lilith clone! O_o
- If Molly had been the second gen heiress, I'd had chosen Halley as the third gen heiress hands down. She's the most unique looking Sims ever born in my game.
- I already aged the girls, so they can walk by the Broke Legacy house and interact with their cousins.






- You'll see these kids again as cameos in future updates and in detail when the main gen 3 children go to college. They are going to be room-mates in the tiniest dorm I can find.
- I enjoyed this little experiment very much. Sims Genetics are awesome. I still have to see how Andrew and Wanda will come out, though (they are still babies in my game).

The girls are lovely :). I married Kendal Lawson to one of my Sims--she's a real character.

3-bolt couples are truly insane, but in a good way ;). The nice, sweet, shy ones are my favorites. They make me feel sentimental...

Oh wow Halley is stunning as a child! She's really completely gorgeous. I'm impressed any babies my sims ever had with aliens always turned out way funky looking.

I also love this idea. I planned on playing some of the non-heirs from my legacies but I never thought to actually post updates with them.

Saturn's and Halley's eyes are because of the weird way Maxis designed alien skin - it makes it so you can't have alien eyes with non-alien skin. You can find a fix for that here (http://theos.chewbakkas.net/stuff/index.html).

Andromeda's eyes look like default replacements for the standard black alien eye - they might have come with the skin and you didn't realize.

Icaro looks so normal from the front and then I see him from the side and I'm always stunned, LOL. That nose is CRAZY.

Halley is really gorgeous! I hope you post pictures of her as an adult, because I'd love to see them.

About the weird eyes—those looks like the eye that comes on Louis skins. When I deleted eyes one of my Sims had, they automatically got the base Louis skin eyes. I don't think that's your problem since Andromeda still has his eyes, but I just thought I'd throw it out there. :)

I really liked this "Where are they now" type deal and hope you continue to do it. I tried but seeing as I make them pop out like 5 kids per generation it would be a pain.

When I first saw Kendal walk by the Legacy House, I thought about saving her for future generations. But as soon as I noticed her 3-bolt attraction to Icaro, I couldn't avoid getting them together. After all, I've already denied Beau his crazy-attraction to Lucy Burb :(.

They are the cutest Sim couple I've ever seen, just as you described them. Might be related to Icaro's 10-nice points thing going on (just like Cosmo, but he's a lot shyer).

The only reason my aliens are cute is the Multiple PT hack I downloaded from MTS2. On the other hand, Sirius Curious is an "original" alien, and I think he's cute in his own alien-esque way :).

Oh my! Thank you so much for that link! I had no idea of that problem and that fix worked wonders on Halley and Saturn, they changed so much!

I was only able to fix them today. I didn't know that I had to re-change their appeareance for their alien eyes to appear.

Yup, Andromeda's eyes were Enayla's alien eyes and I downloaded them to match the alien skin. But because I thought the eyes were behind the weird alien-eye-glitch, I changed them for Rensims'. So far, I also like them.

Icaro is <3. He's so cute and I'm tempted on starting a legacy with him as soon as I finish the Brokes... if only to see if I'm able to keep his awesome nose for 10 generations!

Sure, you're gonna see more of Halley in the future, especially when the Gen 3 kids go to College.

I already fixed the eye problem with the hack that stasis linked me to. Now Saturn looks a LOT like Andromeda and Halley is just an awesome alien! :) Thanks for the help!

Kendall is beautiful and also sweet. And she's such a "pinky girl", every one of her transition/growing up clothes were pink! (including her "wedding dress").

I have no idea if she's a Strangetown townie or a downtownie, though.

Um, Romance sim + Family sim? H...how? LOL, those pairings rarely, if ever, work in my game. They do make a stunning couple (plus, they made Halley!! *steals again*)
