When my game files blew up last week, I also lost both Riverblossom Hills and my Prosperity Neighborhood, Moontown.
Unfortunately, I never made a back up for Moontown and I lost all the stats from the Pudding Family, who lived at Riverblossom Hills.
So, you could say that both the Pudding Legacy and Moontown are gone forever.
I found the clones I made of the Puddings after my last update, so I decided to re-vive them, "Pseudo-prosperity" style. When I played with Moontown, I was overwhelmed by its size, and I realized that in the end I might get tired of it. So, I created a new and smaller neighborhood with just three families, one of them being the Puddings.
As you'll see after you read the prologue, I'm not going to follow the prosperity rules at all. This is just a side project (because my priority is the Broke Legacy for now), so I'm going to follow the story of the three families of Twin Town for only one generation, but there's a twist, of course ^_^. I'll explain it once I post Episode 1, though.
I hope you enjoy this new story.
And of course, Butterscotch Pudding was created by [insanejournal.com profile] dothesmustle for the first Legacy Founder Challenge at [insanejournal.com profile] legacy_writers.

Once upon a time, there was a tiny island in the middle of no-where.
The island was called Twin Island, and on its center there was an even smaller town called Twin Town.
None of its inhabitants knew the reason behind such an odd name, for there was no other island like theirs in the whole Sim World.

Twin Island had a privileged climate and an extremely fertile soil, so it a perfect place for agriculture.
Despite being located so far from every other country in the world, several ships arrived to the island's port once a month, eager to buy the amazing fruits and vegetables that were harvested by the Twin Town's farmers.

And that's how one day, in the year 3046, a family from Riverblossom Hills arrived to Twin Town to start a new life.

A boring new life!
I still don't get why Mom and Dad decided to move to this tiny place, though.
There's nothing to do but to fish and work in our gardens!
I'm going to die here!

Oh, I'm sorry! I haven't introduced myself.
My name is Pumpkin Pudding and I'm eight years old.
We arrived to Twin Town two days ago.
Apparently, someone offered this farm to my Dad at a very low price, and he just couldn't say no to such an offer.
Now I see why it was so cheap!
People say that Riverblossom Hills is a boring town... but compared to Twin Town it is as lively as SimCity.

My mom, Chris was born at Riverblossom Hills too, but she's happy to live here now.
Well that's not surprising, because she loves plants and looking after her garden.
We had a little orchard back home, and Mom spent all the time talking to the trees.
She says that happy trees grow awesome produce, but she was never able to prove her theory, because Dad sold our old farm just before we could harvest them.
She loves our new house and its larger garden, and she's spent most of the day "getting to know" our new trees.

My twin sister, Cherry Pudding, also loves to work in the garden.
While I spent most of my free time playing the piano or reading back, she usually helped Mom with the plants.
Unlike me, she's also glad to have moved here.
We are very close, just like all twins I guess, despite our differences.
Cherry is shy and a neat freak, while I'm outgoing and a bit of a slob.
I had a lot of friends at Riverblossom Hills... I'm gonna miss them.

I'm also gonna miss the soccer matches and going fishing with the guys.
Sure, we now have a pond at home, but there's nothing in it but old boots and trash.
Yuck!

I guess our little sister, Bread Pudding, doesn't care if we live at Riverblossom Hills or at Boring Town.
As long as she has her blocks and crayons around, she's happy.
Lucky baby!

Mom says I shouldn't complain so much, because the main reason behind our move is Dad's mental health.
The poor guy was so stressed lately that he was even fired from his job as a teacher.
Mom thinks that a quite (and boring) place like Twin Town is just what he needs.

Dad... is an odd man.
No one knows where he was born.
He has no memories of his parents or family.
He often dreams about his "siblings", though.
According to Dad, he has a hundred brothers who look just like him.
Sort of like clones, and they are on a mission to re-populate the world.

Supposedly, that's the reason why he moved to Riverblossom Hills.
I guess that with that story, it was hard for him to find a girl who'd take him seriously.
But then he met Mom, and she was able to see that behind his crazy ideas, he was a good man.
So, they got married just a couple days after they met.

And then Cherry and I were born!

Although he loves us dearly, at the beginning he wasn't sure if it was a good idea to have children.
He just wanted to have fun and to have lots of girlfriends!

Torn between "his mission" and what he really wanted, Dad was often a nervous wreck.

The town's shrink became our friend, because he visited our place several times a month!
Then, Dad said that his replacement had arrived to Riverblossom Hills and acted even weirder than usual.
I have no idea why he was so afraid of Miss Andrea Jones, our new next door neighbor.
But Dad often said she was also a clone.

So, when he got the chance to move away from "the blue-eyed clone", he sold the farm.
And that's why we are here.

Dad says that things are going to be a lot better at Twin Town.
Our new house is bigger and a lot prettier, and that Cherry and I finally have our own rooms.
I guess he's got a point in that matter... but... my friends! It's going to be so boring around here without them!

That afternoon, a small welcome wagon went to the Pudding Farm.
With a population of only 15 inhabitants, every time someone moved to the tiny town, it became a huge deal.

Besides the Puddings there were only two other established farms in town.
One of them was the Myers Farm, across the road.
Charles and Nancy Myers were the owners.
They grew beautiful flowers and exported them around the world.

Their only daughter, Michelle, was eight years old.

Tiffany and Jerry Bennet lived around the corner and were the owners of Twin Town's only grocery store.
Jerry was currently busy at the store, so Tiffany visited the Puddings alone.

Tiffany and Jerry had two children.
Mark was 10 years old.
And Sharon was 9 years old.

Pumpkin and Cherry spent the afternoon getting to know their new neighbors (and future classmates).
They taught them how to play Riverblossom Hill's most popular board game, "Don't wake the Llama!”

Sharon only watched them as they played.
When Pumpkin asked her to join them, she blushed, declined his offer and left, for she had homework to do.
Mark and Michelle then said that they didn't have homework that day.

By the end of that day, Pumpkin was feeling much happier.
Perhaps Mom and Dad were right, and their new life at Twin Town would be much better than the one they had at Riverblossom Hills.
As he explored his new room, he couldn't think of a reason to complain about their new home anymore.
He now had his own desk and a place to display his soccer trophies!
And he even had a huge closet just for him... but it was locked.

-"The previous owner told us that the closet's door is stuck, Pumpkin. As soon as we order some wood from the main land, your father is going to build a new dresser for you. You can store your clothes at Cherry's closet in the mean time, all right?"-

Yup, besides the stuck closet and that odd Sharon girl, everything seemed just fine.

Pumpkin was now looking forward to his new life at Twin Town.

That night...

"I'm going to get you, Cherry! No one messes with the Pillow Master!"

"Oh, really? I think I won this battle this time, Pumpkin!"
"All right, all right! But only because I let you win this time!"
"Don't be such a sore loser!"
"I'm not!"

"So... what should we play now?"
"Let's play Hide n Seek! And because you lost our pillow fight, you have to seek me first!"
"Awwww... all right!"
"Great! Now let's see if I can find some new cool places to hide in this house! No peeking!"

Pumpkin counted to 10 and then looked for Cherry around the house.
Cherry was amazing at this game, so he always spent a long, long time searching for her.
Twenty minutes later, Pumpkin couldn't think of another place in which his sister could be hiding.

"I give up, Cherry! Come out!"

"I'm bored of this game, Cherry! You win!"

"Huh? Wasn't this door supposed to be stuck?"

"Cherry? Are you hiding in here?"

"Huh? Who closed the door? Cherry?! I can't see anything! Cherry! That's not funny!
The door is stuck, Cherry! Open the door or I'll tell Mom!"

*SLAM!*
"Ugh... finally! Stupid closet door!"
"What the...? What happened to this place? Why is everything so... pink?"

"That's the wallpaper Mom chose, remember?"

"Wh... what are you talking about? And what are you doing here?"
"Well, this is my room."

"No, this is MY room! And who are you, by the way?"
"Is this a new game?"

"No, it's not! Who are you?!"
"I'm Caramel, silly!"

"I'm not silly! I'm... huh? Why are my hands so large?"
"Because all Daddy's are tall and big, of course!"
"Daddy?"

Pumpkin ran to the bathroom across the hall. His screams (now deeper than he remembered) were heard all around the house.

"AAAAARRGH!"

"What's going on here?!"
