I was planning on making a "pimping entry" (or at least update my resource's list), but I was so distracted by the all the stuff that has happened lately that I completely forgot about it.

But then yesterday, redqueenofevil asked me about the lots I used for Cody's story, and I remembered my half-finished CC list. So, here it goes:

I'm currently re-building Twin Town, this time following part of Jade Elliot's awesome neighborhood tutorial (which I found at the S2C forums). More exactly, I'm following the instructions to make custom NPCs and townies, because I want to populate my hood exclusively with sims from the pixel_trade community. I'm also following the instructions at MATY to make custom hobby leaders too, though I'm still unsure if that's gonna work in the long time.

I was originally planning to share my hood with the community (to play with it as if it were a premade Maxis neighborhod, with backstories and everything), but I'm still unsure if that's actually a good idea. I'm an awful builder, so I used a lot of downloaded lots from MTS2, TSR and the booty for the neighborhood, so that'd get me into a lot of trouble with some creators if I'm not careful with their ToU. So, to be safe, until I develop some magical building skills, I won't be able to share it.

Nonetheless, I'll still link you to the cool lots I found in my search for places to fill Twin Town with. Most of them are custom content free! I usually avoid downloading lots with tons of CC (unless I really want them, like the hospital and school I use for my legacy).

So, here they are:

WolfSims68: I found this creator through Jade's tutorial. While I'm not exactly fond of the style of her homes, I can't deny she has a HUGE variety of community lots. She's made parks, beauty salons, all kind of stores, hospitals, police stations, town center, city halls, fire stations, hotels, spas, gyms and a few adorable beach lots (I used the boardwalk for Cody's story). The downside of this creator is that she's a featured artist, so all her stuff is pay. Of course, you can look for her stuff at the booty too (though it's not updated now).

Illiana: This one makes me sad, because she used to be a Select Artist (aka free). Three days ago, she was promoted to FA :( (and her stuff is not available at the booty). Well, for those of you who have a TSR suscription (or in case the lots appear at the booty), she's also a neat lot designer. She makes huge houses, and most of them are base game compatible. No CC used at all. I especially liked her community lots, including a very cute "auto cinema", a football stadium and an amazing castle.

PlasticBox: This is a well known creator at MTS2. He/She makes urban looking houses, most of them in small lots (and therefore are very playable). But I'm including him/her in this list because of the neat community lots, including a gym, courthouse, bus station, playground, dump, small dinners, etc. He also made a lot of home businesses, which I'll use in my hood. His schools are amazing too!

Strawbz: If you are looking for neat dorms for your universities, this is the right creator to go. He's a select artist, so most of his stuff is completely free. His lots include some cute Harry Potter landmarks, the nice Berry Lane community lots and much more. Very little CC used (two wall papers at the most).

Gamelia: This one was recently named a Select Artist. Her stuff includes a sweet orphanage, some lots for those who want to play the "Living off the land" challenge and an amazing set of stores called "Down on Main Street", that look pretty good combined with Plasticbox's fake rowhouses.

actwrightbec
: This creator is at the exchange. She's made a few neat houses (one of them I'm using for my legacy), but what I love the most from her are the tutorials on how to decorate a lot. Her tips have been very useful to me!

Besides lots, I've just found a couple neat things:

Layana has converted most of Melodie9 and Callum91 meshes (conversions of the Maxis hairs for all ages), so they are linked to the game's textures (so the files are much smaller). The hairs will now also appear as base game content (not CC). Speaking of hair, fanseelamb converted the very short female hair from the EA Store for males and it looks pretty nice in game.

If you used Atavera's instruments in the past, you might had noticed that they no longer work with Free Time. Well, Argon from MATY made a hack that enables them again, and today Kazzandra has just finished converting all of Atavera's instruments for use with Free Time.

Finally, if you are looking for neat clothing for children and toddler, I'm sure you've already seen fakepeeps7 and catofevilgenius creations.

All right, that's enough "pimping" for now.
Hope you find these links as useful as I did!

MEXICO WON THE GOLD MEDAL IN TAE KWON DO!

This is Guillermo Pérez, he won the gold medal this morning.
I listened to the match and the ceremony on the way to my job.
I almost cried when I listened to my country's anthem!
I can't wait until I can actually watch everything on TV.
