- "Sounds good, but I'm not in the mood for pizza right now..."
- "That's hard to believe, considering you were always begging me to take you to SimPizza back at Strangetown and..."
- "I'm not hungry, that's all."
- "But... but you haven't eaten at all today, Tommy. Are you feeling well?"




- "Nah, don't worry. I'm just tired and I want to go to bed now..."
- "But it's still clear outside... *sigh* I... I guess you must be tired from the move. All right, I'll let you sleep. Edward and I will be downstairs, just in case you don't feel well or..."
- "I'm all right, Dad. Trust me..."

- "A-All right. Have a good night, Tommy. Sleep tight..."

"Mom? Where are you Mom?"




"Mom? Please come out, we need to go. Dad and Eddie are waiting for us..."




*CLANK!*




- "Is that you, Mom?"




- "Mom? This is not funny! Are you hiding behind that..."




*Gasp*




- "Wh- What's that?! MOM! MOOOM!"




- "She... she's hurt! Please, come out and help me!"
*Knock Knock*




- "Uh, who's there?!"




- "Are you...?"




- "You are Lyla, aren't you? Chip's grandma?"




- "Huh? What's wrong? Why are you crying?"




- "Are you also scared? P-please don't cry..."
- "She... cries... for her freedom..."




- "My soul... is a prisoner. She wants to see... Buzz. She... we want to reunite with him..."
- "The let's get her out of here!"
- "We can't..."
- "Of course we can! There must be a door around here or..."




- "We are not the key. We can't set her free..."

- "Over there..."




- "The one who can set us free is over there. He's her... our last hope."

- "Sir? Can you hear me? Hey!"




- "I-I'm sorry to bother you, but you see, Mrs. Grunt's soul is locked over there and the zombie told me that you knew how to open her cell, so if you could please help us with..."




- "So you are here to free your friend, aren't you?"
- "Yes! That's what I was telling you! You need to help us!"

- "Help you? I can't help you! No one can help you... or me! There's no escape from this place!"




- "Can't you see it, kid?! Once you set a foot inside this place, you are trapped here for all eternity! We are cursed souls! We no longer belong out there! We never will!"




- "I-I don't understand! The zombie told me..."




- "What? That you could escape? That there was a way out?"




- "That's what HE always said and look what happened to him!"




"My only friend... the only one who ever cared about me..."




"Dead..."




"Murdered by them... murdered by my curse!"




"That's why I can't get out of here! I only brought sadness and death to him... to his family. He didn't listen to me... he didn't believe what I told him."




"We all are cursed... you, I, that zombie, those creatures... we all bring sorrow to the world outside this prison. We can't leave this place!"




"We are all monsters!"




"Th-that's not true!"
"Really? Then how can you explain what happened to Ophelia's parents? To that zombie's soul? Your curse brought pain and damnation to them and their loved ones..."
"I..."




"Leave it, kid. Your soul is as lost as mine... that's why you must stay away from them. That's why you won't find your mom..."




"You are lying! My mom is here! MOOOM!"




"Mom ! Mom! Let's get out of here! Please!"




- "Mo... what?! Is that?"




- "Is that Olive Specter?"




"I've done everything you asked me to do! Now please, tell me! Where is my son?! I beg you!"




"I'm sorry, Olive dear, but I'm afraid we can't help you find your son at the moment..."




"You see... we shouldn't use our resources and information in such a petty search..."




"When there are so many important things we should focus on right now..."




"Especially now that we are so close to reaching our goals... and their goals..."








- "AAAAHHH!"




- "Help me! I want to leave! I don't like this place!




- "Someone, please, help me!”




“ Help me find my...!"








*GASP*




"... mom."

- "Aaaah! Please don't hurt me!"




- "Tommy..."
- "That voice!"




- "Mom! It is you, Mom!"




"Please don't hide from me like that again! I've been looking for you for so long!"




"We need to get out of here right now! This place is so scary... we need to escape before they..."




- "LEAVE, TOMMY!"




- "AAAAAHHHHHHH!"




- "NOOO! NO! MOM!"




-"MOM! PLEASE! GET UP!"




- "WE NEED TO LEAVE! PLEASE! DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE! NOOOO!"




- "Well, well, well... our little present has finally arrived."




- "Those fools got away with the grand prize, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun with the next best thing..."




- "So similar genes... you can be of great use to us... now come here kid..."




- "No! Get away from me! NOOOO!"
- "Get up kid!"




- "Hey, kid! Wake up!




- "Did you listen to me?"








- "Come on, Thomas! Get the hell, up!"




- "Wha...?"




- "Where am I?"




- "Where else? At the dump for the fifth night in a row!




- "I warned you, Broke! I told you last night that if I found you sleeping here again I'd lock your ass at the station!




- "Now get moving! I'm going to call your father right now!"




- "What?! No! Please, Officer! Don't call him! He's going to get so mad at me!"




- And with reason, kid! It's been what... three years already? Do you know the shit I'm gonna get into if I tell your father that I've been hiding this... situation from him for so long? At first I thought it was cute to find a little boy asleep a couple blocks away from his home, but this is getting too far!




- "What if you wake up at a place outside my zone? Listen kid, I won't be able to protect you if you end up in deep shit. I can barely understand how are you able to get this far completely asleep."




- "I don't understand it either, officer. And I've tried everything! I've locked my room, tied myself to my bed... but it's no use. It's only when I have these nightmares... when I wake up away from my place..."
- "Didn't you say the other night that you'd visit your school's counselor?"
- "Miss Cloud? Yeah... she's been asking me to see her for weeks."
- "Maybe this sleep walking non-sense is related to something in your mind. You should see her as soon as possible."
- "I... I don't know..."




- "All right, Tom. Let's make a deal: I'm gonna forget this little trip to the dump one last time only if you promise you'll visit your counselor tomorrow morning. Don't think you can fool me! I know Ginger Cloud, so be sure I'll ask her next time I see her."




- "Don't worry, Officer! I'll do my part of the deal! I swear!"
- "Yeah, yeah... now get the hell away, kid! Before I change my mind..."




- "Thank you, Officer Bachellor!"








Please keep your part of your promise, Tom. The sooner you understand these dreams, the sooner you'll be ready to handle what they mean. We don't have much time left..."








"And I'm not sure how long I'll be able to protect you..."

It's so nice to see an update from you again!! I've missed the Brokes for a long time.

The dream sequence was excellent. I like how he began the dream as a child and woke up as a teen. It really puts you into his state of mental instability. The pictures of Marsha dead are horrifying, but not in a gory way. They're horrifying because it's a child seeing his mother like that. It was an emotionally difficult read, but well worth it. Great job!!

You are great writer, this is by far my favorite legacy. It's so different.. has a plot and everything! It's awesome, I really like how you put all these stories together.

I have been reading this for about a week now (I had to start over because I forgot what I had read some months ago) and I finally caught up. You are an excellent storyteller and you've really improved even within the Legacy! I am going to friend you so I can keep up with updates. :)

I've learned a lot from the people in this community in the almost two years I've worked on the Legacy. At the beginning I had no idea even how to use the in-game camera to get close pictures of the toddlers, hence why most of Beau's baby pictures are so blurry :D. I'm happy to have met lots of talented people eager to share their tips with everyone.

When I look at my prologue, I can't help the urge to re-do it (or at least fix the format), because back when I started I had no idea how to reproduce within the game the ideas I already had in mind ^^.

So I'll probably re-write and expand the prologue, when I'm done with this Generation.

Sorry I didn't say anything when I friended you a little while ago, but I wanted to say how much I am in LOVE with this legacy! This is the first legacy I've actually HAD to finish, and now I want more! I love your storytelling. Rose Marie and Buck's storyline was SO sweet, and I nearly cried when Marsha died! I really liked her! :(

Plus, your references to FOP is amazing! That show is adorable.

Thank you very much for your kind comment :). It's a pleasure to meet you and I'm glad you've been enjoying the story. And please don't worry about not commenting earlier. Just knowing that people are reading the story is a great treat for me ^^.

I miss Marsha too :(. But her death, as you can see, has a huge role in the current plot, because it generated the chain of events that is changing the whole family and specially my current heir.

I no longer watch the FOP as frequently as I did in the past, but it still amuses me to look for a related name for my new sims. Speaking of, Generation 6 is coming pretty soon, so I better start thinking of names. I'll probably go with Chester and Trixie this time, depending if the ONLY Gen 6 kid I'm allowing Tom to have (he's a romance sim with serious aspiration issues, so I don't want to drive him insane with lots of kids) is a boy or girl.

I'll post an update before this month is over, so stay tuned. And thanks again!

I've just finished reading this for the third (fourth?) time (so much for working on my own projects today :P), and every single time I'm always affected the same: I always cry when Cosmo dies, I'm always annoyed at when Rose and Buck divorce, and I'm always scared (in a good way) when I see Marsha in this update. You make the sims seem so real.

I love what you've done with the pre-mades, posing hacks, everything, and I'm torn between hoping you don't get such severe writer's block again and are able to update more frequently, and wanting you to update slowly so the Broke Legacy won't end soon.

I'll definitely be looking forward to the next update :)

I came across this story recently and I read it earlier and meant to leave a comment.

I love this, the intensity in this piece, the confusion that you find in dreams and the horrific images of the nightmare. And that ending scene just left me with goosebumps. Absolutely fantastic. Already I am hooked and will look forward to the next chapter!
