First off, you weren't kidding when you said the Brokes would be taking a darker turn! I don't remember if I said this before, but this legacy really feels like an actual legacy. The whole connection with the new generation and the new is done so well. I feel so bad for the Brokes having learned of this sad secret. It is a burden only family members can understand.
I really like the telling of this chapter, with Thomas going to the counselor and stuff. Again, it adds to the new dysfunctional element.
Love the basketball court/gym. :D
Very sad with Rose Mary and Buck. I remember when I thought she would be the one hurting him!
This chapter really reminded me of how children so easily the victims of domestic disputes. I don't blame either parent, but it really takes a lot to reassure your kids that any separation isn't going to leave them with less love.
I look forward to seeing how the Brokes will brave through this dark cloud. Maybe not immediately but eventually. They're strong!
