Aww! Calvin, Helena and Ripp's family reminds me of the family in the Weetzie Bat books by Francesca Lia Block, which were my favorites as a teen. Weetzie lives with her boyfriend and her two gay friends who she slept with when her boyfriend didn't want a baby, so nobody knows who the first baby belongs to, and the second one is the result of the tryst her boyfriend had when he got mad about that and ran away, but they all live together happily and the kids belong to everyone. They all have wacky names too (Duck, Witch Baby, and My Secret Agent Lover Man). Anyway, random tangent, but unconventional families make me smile. Great update :)
